One week after my "detox diet"

macska

Cathlete
I just wanted to share this with you guys.

Because of my horrible allergies last Monday I started the "Fat Flash Diet" plan - what a misleading title - for the recommendation of a friend.

Basically no:
dairy
wheat
yeast
sugar

in the first 2 weeks. The dairy part was especially painful for me.Then came the hard part: shopping. Finding wheat free soy sauce... finding any kind of sugar free stuff... It seems that everyting has wheat, yeast and sugar in this country! But after spending a fortune in different health food stores I think that the first week was a succes.
My allergies got noticable better. Even my family mentioned that I don't sneeze that much anymore. No more watery and itchy eyes. Morning face puffiness is gone. Even though I'm not doing it for weight loss I lost about 3 lb. I do feel great.

The original plan is about a 1000 cal a day, and I can't function on that. I added about 500-700 cal a day but still strictly sticking to the allowed foods.

I'm really looking for the second week. Mari

What does a day of eating look like for you on this plan? My doctor recommended I try an elimination diet for wheat and yeast, but I don't know that I could! I love my Ezekiel bread too much! Does no dairy mean no whey protein supplements? It's great to hear that you're having such improvements already. Congratulations and good luck this week! What will you do once the two weeks are up?

Congrats on your success Mari!:)

I couldn't do that plan...I am not strong enough to leave out all of that yummy stuff, nor rich enough! :p

Well, here we go:

lemon water w/ ground flaxseed early in the morning
only 1 cup of coffee
2 whole eggs w/ veggies
1 fruit
4 oz of lean protein w/ veggies ( no starchy) or salad, flaxseed oil
1 fruit
another 4 oz of lean protein w/ veggies or salad/flaxseed oil
more lemon water/ ground flaxseed

I can have whey protein. During the day I'm supposed to drink a lot of "cranburry water" and "lemon water". It is very strickt but doable. Once I quit eating dairy it's not so hard -- man, I love cottege cheese and milk...
After the second week probably I'll stick to the wheat, yeast and sugar free part, but add maybe a cup of cottage cheese? Or add some wheat free grains... Mari

I absolutely love the Fat Flush Plan! This enabled me to lose the last 15 pounds! In fact, I'm doing Phase 1.5 right now (have one friendly carb every other day to enable me to exercise).

Congratuations in eliminating those foods in which you're allergic. Most of us are allergic to Wheat and don't even know it!
