Oh my gosh!! I did it last week, and while I didn't think it was *that* difficult during since I've done Plyo, Legs & Back, and P90Masters Plyo Legs, and Cathe's leg workouts, but it killed me!! Not during the workout, but the next day- major DOMS in the inner thighs & glutes! Good luck!!

Jess -

How much different is it vs. Plyo X and Legs & Back? Does he have a lot of new moves? I guess I need some enabling as I loved P90X and X+!! :D

Hey Tracey! A lot of the moves are familiar, it's a mix of Plyo/ L & B/ P90Masters Plyo Legs, but I liked the one on one style w/ Tony. It's an hour long, and if you purchase it, you'll get a new one on one workout each month. I'm not sure what number 2 is, but I'm looking forward to it! I'm not doing it the day before a run again though!! LOL

Oh, and I love P90X and the X+ also! (and I think Tony's hilarious, if you don't like his style though then you might not care for the one on ones!)

I've only tried one p90 (not x) video and a couple power half hour videos. Im wondering if p90x and + are like that and also the 1on1. ? Is there like hardly any music but this VERY light elevator type music? Is he always cracking jokes and being silly. I kinda thought he was funny but overall wasn't very motivated by it. I just wonder if I'd like the x and 1on1 better? Are there clips anywhere??? the clips of x are just him talking.

There are lot of clips from the X and X+ on youtube if you do a search. The X is an AWESOME program! He's goofier in Power Half hour from what I've heard, I don't have those. In the one on ones there is new music put together by Jason Scheff (from Chicago), and he also did the music for the X+ workouts also. I love the X and X+ and have had great results from them!

Thanks Jess. I'm kind of so-so on Tony's comedy. I know a lot of people can't get past it. I'm not that bad but the last few weeks of the X rotation I think I was about to kill him! LOL! Right now I'm really enjoying using Tony and Cathe together...they really compliment each other well and the variety keeps Tony from getting on my nerves.

My DH has a couple of monthly internet subscriptions so I may have to order One on One to even things out! ;)

Tracey,

Did you know that you can turn Tony's talking off and have cue only option?

Jess,
P90X is better than P90. I don't have the entire P90 program. From what I can tell by the few dvd's I have, it is not as good music, setting, Tony in P90X.

The X is the reason I purchased STS. It is by far the best total workout on the market! I know that is a strong statement, but that is how I feel. P90X+ is extremely tough.
I LOVE Tony's One on One legs, but I love a great leg workout and Tony:D

unfortunately i wussed out this morning and just stuck with my full body circuit. i will incorporate this workout next week and let you know how it goes

I am a Tony fan too. Lots of folks don't like him. Seems to be a love him or hate him kind of guy. It's okay though cause I definately LOVE him! :D

I am still petrified to put my legs through one on one plyo legs but I'm gonna have to soon. I've been thinking about doing plyo exclusively for my lower body for a while to see what happens. It's supposed to help lean you out down there and that's the area where I need the most help!

ITA that the X is a superior product! I got FANTASTIC results when I completed the program last year. Problem is, I have yet to find the kind of dedication it took to do it over again! 3 months is a LONG time on the same rotation. I have exercise ADD so anything more then a month and I start gettin' nutty!:p

I've had the X+ since they came out and have yet to complete a rotation with them! I started one but only lasted a month. OOPS! And now STS is comin' out..ANOTHER 3 month rotation I'm going to have to try to wrap my mind around!

OMG I am in soooo much trouble!!!!!

Wendy, you crack me up!! My last X rotation was kind of a hodge podge w/ my tri training. I just made sure to get in the 2 upper body workouts (C & B and S & A, then CST and B & B). I switched up the lower body workouts, did some Cathe, kettlebell, etc. Plus the running and biking is good lower body!

Now I'm trying to decide what to do next myself..... so many workouts so little time! LOL

I can definitely see how the Plyo will help lean out the lower body! Try it out.... come on I want to hear your opinion!! ;oP

Oh yeah, P90X is better than P90. I have P90, but not the Power Half Hour. My Mom really likes P90. The X is my favorite. I like the X+, but for muscle building, there's nothing better than the Classic X.

Plyo Legs is a great workout and love Tony! I can't believe he's 50!!

Jess,

Tony's age and his fitness level is a true inspiration for me as I am about to hit the down slope of my 40's. I'm turning 46 next week, and realize my best is yet to come!!!

Tony may be silly, but he is a perfect example how we shouldn't take everything so serious. I'll never act my age!:p

That's great!! I'm a youngin' at 31, but I know being fit now will only help me as I age!

My brother, BIL, dh, & I often talk in *Tonyisms*. My BIL says he'll never make gumby look like... the tin man! LOL

Aww, you are young! I loved my 30's.
40's have been a time of growth for me. They say 50's are the best. I am working to be my best by then;)

Tonyisms is a great word!
My two boys(young men) think Tony is great. I laugh everytime I think of my oldest doing ab ripper X for the first time. He made it through it doing every single crunch. He was so proud. The following week, he couldn't stand up straight because his lower abs were so sore!:D Then, he decided he would do plyometrics with me after eating a bowl of cereal. I warned him....well, my son found out why you can't eat before plyo:eek:

My husband doesn't find Tony as humorous. I think he's jealous of the crush I have on Tony!

I was thinking about getting p90x+ I have a question for those of you who have done this routine. do you do less cardio? i'm afraid to cut cardio down to only 2 days a week but i know that tony focuses more on weight training.

Thanks for the response Jess (other jess ;) ) I've always thought about trying P90X but since I preordered STS I'd feel guilty. ha. Almost like I'm a total splurger on fitness stuff. I have spent soo much this year its not funny. I feel I need to stop for a while and enjoy what I have. Whenever that feeling passes though I may consider the X again. lol. Id love to try plyo legs but I don't know if I want to do a subscription type thing. ugh. i dunno. Hope to hear more reviews soon. So when you start the subscription they will start you at the beginning right? Its not like a magazine where they start you on the current issue type of thing? never heard of doing a w/o video like that.

You can add some steady state cardio in after upper body workouts.
I hated yoga, so I usually replaced it with cardio. I know that's bad. But I HATE yoga!

You can do a doubles rotation that has 5 days of cardio in it but that's 2 work outs a day or one long one! The X+ moves alot faster then the original X which gives the work outs a bit of a cardio factor just based on how quickly you move from one exercise to the next. Very little rest time given. HTH a bit. :)
