Good morning, ladies!
The sun is shining here today, but it's cold! Got back down in the low 30's this morning, although it's supposed to get up to 70 today. Such weird weather...
I did HiiT Double Wave Pyramid yesterday evening. What a sweat fest! LOL
Cathy: Great job on the workouts, but I'm so sorry it was painful. I don't know how you soldier through...
Renee: I would agree that mowing the lawn is indeed a workout!!! & it's good that you're keeping the upper body workouts going. MMA: Fusion is a mix of martial arts and boxing.
I've got 2 boys by a previous marriage - one is married & one is a confirmed bachelor (he's in Paris right now - still can't believe that!). I have one granddaughter, who will soon turn 6. I've been married for 20 years & he had 4 children by a previous marriage. There are 9 grandchildren on that side, as well as 2 great grandchildren. Family gatherings are not for the faint at heart! LOL I've worked at the same place for almost 22 years now, doing all the accounting work for a high rise condominium (289 units), including payroll. I have 2 sisters, both married, but no children. My parents are soon to be 88 & 87, still living at home on their own. Unfortunately, none of us live close, but we get together twice a year. That about sums up my life in one short paragraph! LOL I struggle with fibromyalgia, which is why I can't always work out like I'd like to.

We had a thunderstorm last night, with temps. in single digits!:confused: It is somewhat unusual for us! It's rainy & cool today:(
Did MM Tabata Trek Premix Bike Only then Cathe's Step Works Combos #2 & 3 & Cool Down,(I was soaked after this:cool:) then finished with KS Mind & Body Relaxation(Yoga)!:D

Jane: Great on Double Wave:D I'm saving that one for Circuit Week!( if I remember) Too many workouts;)

Renee: Great on the upper body with ME:D If you have Muscle Max it might also be a great upper body as well! Yes, KV is Karen!

Hello. It was chilli last night and warm today. And now i have a cold! Lol. Usualy if i get a cold as long as it isnt n my lungs exercise helps me to get rid of it early.

Cathy im so sorry i misspelled your name. U are doing good on your workouts that is great! I do have muscle max. I hace only been intraduced to cathie for 6 months but so overexcited by her i bought alot of them n a short time lol. My DH does not appriciate it. But i work to i remind him. It is only part time but still. Lil

Jane that is good about the double wave that is one i wanted but was afraid to try.. do to all the jumping. :( Is it really doable? Or is it really hard?

I did STS 23 (Legs) yesterday evening. I thought I'd be sore today - those low-end lunges are killers! I'll probably be feeling it before day's end.
It's another gorgeous day here - in the 60's already & the sun is shining.
How did your workouts (if able) go?
Cathy: Great job on the workouts! I think that just one of the those would have fried me!!!
Renee: I'm sorry to hear that you have a cold - I had one week before last (? - time flies...) & it really kicked my behind! I had to take 3 or 4 days off. :mad: I just couldn't make myself work through it!
HiiT Double Wave Pyramid is tough, it has air jacks & tuck jumps (my least favorites!) in it, but the more times I do it, the easier it gets. I modified a LOT the first time through (plyo jacks for air jacks, tiny little tuck jumps). I don't particularly like high impact moves, but I like to challenge myself once in awhile!

Today was STS Disc 21 & Extended Stretch plus a 35 min walk w/dogs!

Jane: Great going on Disc 23!:D You have one more left! YAY!!
We've got sunshine today with a wind that is a little nippy!

Renee: So sorry you have a cold! Do not do the HiiT workouts with your foot the way it is right now! It is do-able! If you have MMA Boxing you should be able to do it with your foot!

Did Rhythmic Step yesterday evening. Always a fun one for me, but I was definitely sucking air more than usual...
Cathy: I hope you're feeling a bit better today, that your pain has lessened & that you were able to sleep. I hope all went well with the tax man!
Renee: I saw on Facebook that you're really sick. I'm sorry to hear that! Hope you start feeling better soon!

Hey eveyone. Just so sorry i havnt checked in. I have been sick flu like. Missed work. Eow when it rains it pours. I am going for follow up today about my foot. I think my body is fighting me on my healthy lifestyle! But im not giving up! Lol i will let you know how it goes today at docs. So cant wait to get back in there... i have been controling my eatiing so thats a good thing. Hope you all hav a nice day!

It started raining here yesterday then turned to heavy wet snow:( My exercise time was spent sleeping yesterday:)
Today I did STS Disc 22 & GS Back & Biceps Premix # 2, & STS Extended Stretch:) I'll try & do STS 23 tomorrow! The humidity here today is 100% & gloomy(sp?)

Jane: Rhythmic Step is a nice change of pace & great for those days you're not sure! Great job:) Tax lady yes & no! Are we doing the Supersets/Push Pull & Pyramid workouts for the next month?

Renee: I'm so sorry you're sick! I hope you're doing a little better!
You don't need to apologize for not checking in! Let us know about your foot!

Cathy: I hope you are sleeping well now! I have a hard time staying asleep. And DH snores like crazy! lol We are doing our taxes tomorrow, we have put it off because, we are afraid we will have to pay!! lol Im not sure why we put it off. If we have to pay we have to pay now or later.:( oh well lol Im glad you are moving along it sounds like on your workouts!

Jane: you sound like you are moving right along with your workouts as well! That is wonderful! I love Rhythmic step! That one is a fun one it took me a while to get it but i love it.. it is fun once you learn the moves.

I am doing better today as far as the cold goes. I went to the doctor for follow up about my foot and he said the good news is i do not have a stress fracture! Im happy about this for sure.. I was worried i was falling apart already.. However at the same time i know you both will think im nuts. I am disappointed because i feel like a big wussy! I mean i had a planter fascitis on my right foot and that is what he says it is, he says it is a bad one where there appears to be tears on the ligaments.. I dont know i just feel like it hurts worse then it did before.

I use to could give my foot a day or two of rest and i was right back at it.. now it has been what two weeks and he is telling me to weight another 4 weeks before i do any step or running..

I hate that!! So i am going to do some weight lifting and i hope DH fixes my elliptical soon. But he gave me some meds for inflamation so hopfuly they will help some. Enough whinning from me for now. lol It was so nice here today i am hoping it is nice tomorrow when we get back from tax office I am going to sit in the sun some!!

Today was STS Disc 23 Legs & KV's Yoga Stretch! The humidity this morning was a energy killer! The sun is finally out now!:D Hopefully Disc 24 tomorrow:)

Renee: It's really good to hear you don't have a fracture! But you should still take it easy & modify any moves that are going to aggravate your foot! I don't think you're being a wussy!

Jane: Hope you're doing okay & getting some sleep! Are you having much pain from your Fibromyalgia?(sp?) Were you able to finish Disc 24?
This might sound nuts but, could the Fibro be making your menopausal symptons worse?

When I started with the Workout Manager I recorded my weight as it was at the time! But it wasn't my starting point!:( My starting point was 230#s:eek: & it's been a very long yo-yo-ing, filled with setbacks & educating journey! I've changed my weight sticker to reflect where I started from!

Nope no taxes today. We were going but the lady that does ours wont be there til mon. We will havve to do it wed my day off. Oh im not giving up on my diet n exercise for sure.
I am doing GS legs so ill let u all know how i like it. Im gonna do what i can. Hope you all enjoy your saturday.

First off, - HUGE KUDOS to you, Cathy! What an inspiration you are! You've lost almost 100 pounds!!!! WAY TO GO!!!! & with your physical limitations - what an awesome job you've done!!!! I'm glad to hear that you were able to get in workouts this weekend, & to increase your weight load! Do you want to stick with STS, then, so you don't lose anything? That would be fine with me - I hate to lose any strength, too!
Renee: Of course we don't think you're nuts! Planter fascitis is very painful, from what I've been told. A co-worker has that & can sometimes barely walk! I'm glad to hear that it's not a fracture, but tendons take a long time to repair, so don't give up on yourself!
I didn't work out this weekend. Cleaning the house on Saturday did me in. I just had no energy left...:( Cathy, you may be right about the fibro connection. So little is known about fibromyalgia - it's frustrating. I made an appointment with an ob/gyn that prescribes bio-identical hormones. I'm SO hoping that she's able to help me! My appointment is April 12th. Can't come soon enough!
I'm glad it's rest week - I'm going to focus on core work, cardio & yoga this week.

It's so frustrating at times with doctors! Don't worry about no workouts on the weekend, housework is exercise enough!!;) Thanks for the kudos!!
I think I've managed to increase weight slightly because we are doing STS every other month & hopefully confusing our muscles as well! I'd like to continue the way we are going but, I somehow wound up with 2 copies of what we are doing & have different workouts scheduled! So, this month is Supersets/Push-Pull week 1 & Pyramid week 3 right?:eek::confused:

Renee: How are you doing with your foot? Did you try GS Legs floorwork? Jane is right that you have to give the tendons time to heal & not make it worse!

Hello you guys,
I am feeling so much better today and i had a great day Sunday! I actually went one mile walk and i jog really really slow for two miles.. I could not help myself lol the medication they gave me helped alot and staying off it for the two wekks helped. But I tried to go slow i told myself i was going to walk is all.. it even opened up my sinus! I cant just walk it is hard to do that lol..
so funny i used to hate hate to run now i hate not to.
So even if i have not lost weight like i wanted at least i know i have a love of exercise.. But right after my jog my foot of course started to hurt again but not near like it was before. I could not walk before, two weeks ago. But i iced it and I elevated it and i put the night splint on. Today i still feel it so i did not do alot and right now it doesnt hurt much at all. So maybe tomorrow i will be able to do more. :eek:

Cathy that is amazing how in the world did you lose 100 pounds! I think you are awesome! Please tell me how did you do it? And congrates on the gaining weigth strength!

Jane I love your fb inspirations lol.. I sure hope all is going to go well with the Doctors and you find the right dose of hormones soon. I think when the time comes i want to do the bio hormones. I need a different Doc because i think he frowns on it.. i think maybe because they dont get money off it? I dont know. Not to up on that part of it..

Im feeling so good tonight and i have not been for so long.. Oh my 32 year old son stoped by this evening and i think that always makes me smile.. I so love my boys! Family makes life worth it all doesnt it!

I managed to do Yoga Max yesterday evening. I don't know what's wrong with me, but I have no energy...:mad: Maybe today will be better! Actually, come to think of it, I've been eating WAY too much sugar - duh!!!! :eek: Lightbulb moment... & I just read all the reasons NOT to eat sugar in Cathe's newsletter yesterday!
Cathy: Great job on the workouts! What is ECF? Yes, that's the rotation I have, too - Supersets/Push Pull Week 1 & Pyramid Week 3. It will be fun to revisit those - I haven't done those in forever!
Renee: I'm glad to hear that you're feeling so much better! That's awesome news! I think you're being very smart to not overdo. It's so easy to overdo when we start feeling better. Glad you like the Facebook inspirations! I follow a gal who goes by "Deliciously Fit" - she posts a lot of uplifting, as well as nutritional things. She decided to enter a bodybuilder's competition at the age of 48! Anyway, I get a lot of things from her. ;) & yes, family is the icing on the cake! My son just got back from Paris & London. I can't wait to catch up with him & see all the photos he took!

Hello! I hope you both had a great everning I did Body fusion tonight. I always think that one is easy and nice. lol I have to learn not all workouts have to be like beating myself up. That may have been what caused my injury. Thinking i have to do and go strong at every workout.. i have to admit, I was sore all the time and my bones was sore lol. May be i needed the three weeks. I am probly not gonna do anything tomorrow yet. I think since they think im supose to wait 4 more weeks i am just gonna do a light workout everyother day just to keep my mind clear and feel better.

I hope you all have a great night. Jane I may do the yoga max tomorrow that one is good isnt it? i have not even tried it yet.

I tried to do Intensity (step portion only) yesterday evening. I started out alright, but by 1/2 way through, I was having to hit pause - a LOT! :confused: This is really starting to frustrate me. Oh, well, this too shall pass...
Renee: I think you're being very, very smart with the way you're handling your recovery. & I should have said Yoga Relax - not Yoga Max. Brain fart! LOL BTW, how is your father? What part of W.Va. does he live in? The reason I ask is that I was born in Wheeling, W.Va. My folks live about 30 miles from there, but in Ohio.
Cathy: How was your day yesterday? Were you worn out?
Hopefully, today will be a good hump day for everyone!
