I didn't feel up to working out yesterday evening, either. :( I'm still feeling pretty punk, so I don't know whether or not I'll go to the self-defense class tonight. They only offer it once a year, so I'm going to try, but it's 3 hours & I don't know if I can last that long!

I did KCM 30 min Weights Premix # 7 & STS Disc 18 & a Yoga Stretch:)
Then took dogs for their exercise(I was sitting)!

Yesterday was nothing & today I did STS Disc 19 & STS Extended Stretch!
It was a painful workout:( Dogs also got exercised & again I was sitting:eek::(
We've got somewhat strange weather here today!!

I finally got a workout in today. I did STS Disc 19. I'll do 18 tomorrow (19 takes more time...) to catch up.
Cathy: So sorry to hear that you're in pain. HUGS! I was in a lot of pain last week. The weather definitely plays a big part. How do you sit when you exercise the dogs?
I did make it to the self defense class. My DH ended up going with me, & he enjoyed it, too. The instructor was very good at making her points through humor. My cold has gone to my chest. :( so now I'm coughing a lot. I can always say I'm working out my abs, right? :p
We're running close to 80 here today. I absolutely refuse to turn on the A/C in the middle of March!!!!! The dogs are miserable, poor things.
Hope we both feel better tomorrow!

The weather here is very heavy, humid & sunny right now! We are suppose to be expecting T'Storms later! I haven't slept for about 3 nights again & with this weather I'm feeling it!

Good afternoon!
Another 84 degree day today - going to break a record... Snow in Arizona & California, but 84 in Ohio... We finally broke down & turned on the air conditioning yesterday evening. We've NEVER before needed to mow our lawn in the middle of March!
I "made up" the Back & Bicep STS workout I couldn't get in last week. I was disheartened by the fact that my bicep strength has gone down from the 1st time I went through STS. I knew I lost bicep strength while nursing the year-long recovery from tennis elbow, but it really bummed me out. :( But, I'll keep plugging & eventually it will come back! ;)
Cathy: I sympathize with your not sleeping! I haven't slept well (coughing & blowing my nose all night long!), either... Makes you feel like you're swimming through mud all day long. :( I don't know how you keep going, but you do! You're a trooper!
I'm not going to do any hard cardio until I can take a deep breath without coughing, but the STS workouts don't seem to bother me.

Did get the dogs exercised, but not me:( Crazy weather had me back in winter gear to do the dogs, however they liked the cooler weather! I feel so guilty about not working out!:(

Jane: Glad you got Disc 18 done but I'm sorry you've lost strength in your biceps!:( If you do take it easier & lighter for a bit you should be able to work back up to where you were:) I hope you get some sleep tonight to help you get over your cold!

Just wanted to pop in to say I understand how you feel, Cathy. I feel guilty when I can't work out, too! I struggled with that last week. But, I tried to tell myself that there was a good reason my body didn't feel up to it. & there's a reason your body doesn't feel up to it today. Lack of sleep might be a biggie! Sometimes we just need to give ourselves permission to rest! HUGS!!!

Because of pain & numbing in my left hip& leg, I got 3 & 1/2 hrs. of sleep! This week is looking like it's going to be a wash for me!

Good afternoon! The weather here is absolutely delightful - but I'm sure afraid that we'll pay for it somehow down the road...
I was able to do STS Disc 20 yesterday evening. I may take a break tonight, or try a really easy cardio. I'm not coughing as much, but I still can't take a deep breath without starting a coughing fit... & I'm afraid to try another Back/Bicep workout so soon - might flare the elbow...Tomorrow night, I can't work out either, because of timing issues with DH's meeting.
Cathy: I'm so sorry about your ongoing pain, numbness, & lack of sleep! Don't stress about the workouts -(I know, easier said than done!), just take care of your body. It's the only one you got! Since I'm behind, too, why don't we just tack on an extra week? ;) & I'm sleeping a little better, but the hot flashes keep waking me up.:( I'm about ready to go crazy with them... The gal I work with says my face, arms & chest get red as a beet when I'm having one (& I'm having them at least once every half hour).:confused:
My son stopped over last night for a quick goodbye before he heads off to London & Paris for 10 days. It's the opportunity of a lifetime for him, & I'm so excited for him. I just pray he'll be safe!

Another gorgeous day here - sunny & warm. Feels more like May than March!
I did Step Moves yesterday evening. I wanted to do something, but I knew I couldn't handle much intensity, & that worked perfectly.
I've been having serious issues with the computer here at work for about a week now. It's the busiest time of year for me, & I'd like to boot the computer out the window!!!:p
Cathy: I hope against hope that you are feeling somewhat better today!

Good job on STS 20 & Step Moves:cool::) You haven't found anything to work on those hot flashes yet? How's your cough after the step workout?
I'm also ready this week to boot the computer;) The weather here is TANK TOP weather! Great!!

I can maybe catch up next week on the workouts or we can repeat the week & I'll start with Disc 19!

We're have a rainy, drizzly type day here, too, Cathy! But, it's still very warm outside, & it is starting to clear up.
I am feeling much, much better, thanks Cathy! I wish you were!
I did MMA: Fusion yesterday evening. OK, those roll-backs, explode forward into a push-up just ain't happening for me! LOL:eek::p:rolleyes: Does Cathe not know I'm 57????? :eek: I'll have to figure out what to substitute for that move, that's for sure! I didn't think I'd get to work out because of my DH's meeting (timing of dinner), but we just ate after the meeting. I hate eating that late, but I was glad to be able to work off some of the stress from work. After next Weds., I'll be able to "breathe" again at work.
Why don't we just plan to add on an extra week, Cathy, so that you don't put too much pressure on yourself. I'm behind a disc, too, so if I get caught up sooner than you, I'll do some extra abs & aerobics, or circuits. ;)
Have a great weekend! Mine will entail the usual cleaning... ugh...:p

Hello Cathy and Jane... so happy to join u. We are having storms so im on my phone. Im glad i found thr thread. I had mri on heel Friday. Wont know until tuesday what is wrong. I have osteopnea. So they suspision another stress fracture. Bout three yrs ago had one in my hip. I think im to young for that. Seems like doctors should find out why i have it. I take cacium n vit d.. they want me to take phosphate. No way im a med assistant or was and i know it isnt a good med to take. I hate not exercising. On top of that i ate pizza today! Lol.

Jane have you figured why you cant sleep? Because i have that problem as well. Dont know why. I feel like i am anxious.

Hi Renee, & welcome! Ouch! Your condition sounds pretty painful! & we know how frustrating it is when you can't work out! :mad:
Cathy: Hope your weekend is going better than your week did. You need some relief! I'm hoping your PT can start soon?
I did STS 21 on Saturday & STS 22 today. Back to the grind tomorrow...:rolleyes:
Renee, I think it's the hot flashes that keep waking me up during the night. It's frustrating, but I guess it just goes with getting older...:p:rolleyes: I've started taking Melatonin, & that has helped quite a bit - at least I can fall back to sleep after the heat wave is over... :D

Your heel/foot sounds painful! Are you still having pain in your hip?
We are use to ups & downs of pain, but we keep "trucking" along as best we can!

Renee I know what you mean about anxious sleep! I find it happens before storms or big winds!:(


I did STS Disc 19 plus KCM:YBB Premix # 8 & ZL Yoga Flow! It felt good at the time;):)

Hi.. i did manage to at leadt mow some grass. I am favoring the ball of the foot so it is aching as well.
Im glad the melitonin is helping. I wondered if that really helped.
So id love to learn more about you guys. No my hip is good now..Also im oon my phone again when i used the computer today it takes me to old post like from 08? I cant get to recent post except my phone. What am i doing wrong?

Today was STS Disc 20 Legs & KV's Yoga: Stretch & it wound up being a very painful workout!:(

Jane: I forgot about the MMA Fusion you did! Great on that one! I also have trouble with the same exercise that you did! I just do the best I can & maybe I'll surprise myself when I make it!;):)

Renee: Mowing the lawn counts as a workout!:) Are you using the Workout Manager?

Oh i have been doing some upper body. I did ME today. I dont have by boys get eestablished so they can have me some grands lol.
