One body part-per day?

I have tried working one body part per day and I am not sure why I stopped. It was a while ago.
I am thinking about doing it again.Maybe until the new workouts are here.I know everyone is hoping they will soon be here....but who knows!
What about if I doubled up on one day(meaning do chest and back) which will leave one day of no weight training and then do a full body workout.
EX:
Sun-ches,back
Mon-bic
Tues-Shou
Wed-Tric
Thurs-Legs
Fri-off
Sat-Full Body
Sun-off
This is just an example so that you would understand what I was trying to say and of course I don't have cardio added in there either. How long would I work that body part for? 20-30 min? For legs I would do a full workout video but the other body parts I would pick parts from a couple of workouts.
Any suggestions?
Lori:)

Lori, I did this throughout college & I loved it. I worked out 6 days a week, 30 minutes cardio/30 minutes lifting, & would do one body part a day (never a full body workout--although I'm not suggesting you not do that, it just wouldn't have worked for me). It's also the time period during which I gained the most muscle--ever since I've just been maintaining. I think it was just b/c I had more energy to put into the single body part I was working.

I really wish I could do that kind of split now but my gym's just too far & I work too many nights. But I highly recommend you give it a try, I think you'd probably have great results.

Lori I recommend CTX (of course). I just started a CTX rotation until HC is shipped.
If you don't have CTX you can do one part per day with Pyramids and PS combined. It works great. I've done it in my pre-CTX days. Just remember to do cardio each day that you do an upper body part.

Let us know what you do and how you like it.

My plan is to do a hour long cardio as well:) I have CTX but I think I would like to add another workout to it.I bet CTX and PUB would be a killer! Then I could do Leaner Legs or PLB for my leg workout.I don't think I will do cardio on my leg days.
I just started a new job so I am trying to wrap my head around everything.Sometimes I will be working nights. But I can always catch a little snooze there, which will be great. If not I may have to learn to drink coffee at 4 in the morning.
Thanks and I think I am going to give it a try,
Lori:)

If you want to double up a day, I suggest pairing either chest and triceps or chest and shoudlers or back and biceps or back and shoulders. The chest and back are the two biggest, thus strongest, upper body muscles, so they really need more weight or sets than the smaller muscles, especially triceps and biceps, so doing them separately allows you to give them more energy and attention.
