I was just on the phone with my realtor and I refered to DH as "DH" instead of his actual name. I actually said, "DH thinks June 9 is fine." There was a pause and then she said, 'Who?"

My face is burning up just recounting this. I need to spend less time on the boards!! ACK!

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming ‘Wow - what a ride!’ — Peter Sage

Too funny!! Too bad his name is not David Harold....it would be easier to recover!! By the way, I love your new quote.

OMG Sparrow! That is sooo funny! :7 :7 :7

I'm not laughing AT you, I'm laughing WITH you cause Lord knows I'll do the same thing one these days!;)

:+ :+ :+ I'm so glad I'm not the only one!!:+ :+ :+

I'm rolling here as I've gotten the blank stare and "Who?" as well... They NEED to keep up with the latest Cathe Forum Lingo!!

I AM LOL!!!! :7 :7 :7 :7 You don't know how many times I've caught myself from saying this!!!

Just know that you're not alone. One of these days I'll slip up too! :+

Oh goodness we have moments like that! I was going to wash a dog at a salon once and the lady was asking about shampoos. I was thinking of having fish for lunch so fish was on the brain. I told her I would bathe her dog in a shampoo that smelled of fresh fish. Her face told me I said the wrong thing - she had a look of 'eewwwee grosssss!' on her face.

Another time I was taking an order for this couple. I was staring at the menu (which was green in colour)and the man asked about the chips...I told him they were green and he looked at me like 'huh?'

OMG!! That is funny:7 :7 :7 .

I've found that one of the hazzards of posting in the <--- thread is that I often find myself talking in 3rd person:eek:

OMG I DO THE SAME THING!!!! And I refer to myself even in my head as "<--"... LOL!!!

I know you're embarrassed, Sparrow, but you are NOT alone!!! :7

That's a howler! Don't be embarrassed, Sparrow - that's cute!

I've done a bit of the reverse; once I answered my home phone with, "This is Annette, may I help you?"

It was my mother.

I love it, Annette. And the DH thing was very funny too. So funny how our online persona sneaks in.

Sparrow that is funny!

But here's my embarrassment. My 70+ yo mother got a computer this year and I spent H-O-U-R-S walking her through how to turn it on, how to use her email program, entering people into her address book, how to get on the internet, how to bookmark, etc, etc, etc. It was excruiating on my end...we did this always over the telephone so she could be on the computer, me on mine, and then I would tell her what to do. Over, and over and over...get the picture here...for weeks. I figured it was hopeless that she'd never be able to use it unless someone was there to walk her through it all the time.

Okay, NOW I get emails from her and she's using more internet jardon than even I know and I'm having to ask HER what stuff means!!?!?!!

Last week she sent me an email asking me for my MSN ID so we can 'chat'. I couldn't believe she would even know what MSN messenger was! She's a woman gone wild I tell ya.
