Hi Everyone!

For all of you who love the Firm Classic Series, I thought you may enjoy this picture from the Just V website. :p Thanks, Tigger, wherever you are, for the cool pics!

Anyway, Susan Harris is wearing the yellow leotard, the leg warmers, the cappezio-looking dance shoes a la Volume I in this photo that looks current! :D I did a serious double-take! Whoa!

Check it out!

(p.s. you may need to be a registered member with 'v' to view, I'm not sure)

Take care!
;)

Wow! It's like a blast from the past, you know? She still looks so amazing, doesn't she?

I have heard that Susan has a great sense of humor.

The Z was added by Anna Benson when Susan was scheduled to do Abs First at the same time Tracie did Weights First because Anna intended to set up websites for Tracie and Susan. There is already a Susan Harris that has a web site (a reporter) so Anna adjusted the spelling. The web sites were never set up.

Hey there Kathy, you mean you don't still have those leg warmers?:p Susan was talking about how she still likes them over at V. Someone mentioned they saw them for sale in a big store...like Bloomingdales?
They might be coming back in style? hahaha
I still have most of my Firm outfits and legwarmers. Susan wore a yellow one in Vol 1 and a Peach colored one in Vol 4. Each time, those colors were sold out when I wanted to order. ;( In those days,I must have worn out a truck load of those pantyhose like leotards. and... How about those bikini bottoms that went over the leotards? LOL

Can't wait to see what kind of workout Susan is going to do later on this Spring. I hear it may be all ready for get go by June?

I just saw an article in a magazine about how leg warmers are coming (back) into style with certain celebrities; not in the exercise room, but as a fashion accessory.

Several people over at V, who went on the V-cation, said she came out to lead a class wearing the old outfit and the room went nuts! Seeing her in that would have made the whole vacation worthwhile! Hmmmm...I think I'll pull out Vol 1 tomorrow. It's been years since I've done that video. So what if I'm incapacitated the next day!

Hey Wanda!

You know, Wanda, I swear this is the truth -- I cleaned out my workout drawer in DECEMBER 2003 and gave away a lot of old workout clothes (had to make room for all the hormonal purchases I made after the I Series and the BB Series), and I finally gave away my black and pink leg warmers. I recall distinctly sitting there thinking, "Aw heck, I am NEVER going to use these again." And then maybe a month later I start reading about how they're making a comeback as a fashion item.

Geez, I had a bunch of those old Danskin leotards -- and how about the Danskin footless tights, huh? Had a bunch of them too. I never got into the bikini "toppers" but -- I cannot believe I'm admitting this -- I had TWO (one just wasn't enough) of those fitness belts -- those big wide elastic things that looked GREAT on Cathe and Jane Fonda but cut this little short-waisted rectangle in half to tremendous comic effect.

Sigh. What in the world was I thinking? :)

Ha! Me too!!!!

JUST last year I finally parted with about 30 pairs, yes THIRTY pairs of leg warmers!!! I had every color imaginable and even striped ones that would match my outifts. I had one that was yellow & black big stripes and every time I put them on, I thought, I look like a bumble bee! I had the wide elastic belts in probably 10 colors!!!! Not sure I will miss either of them and it usually takes me about a year to get in to what is in fashion NOW! I am telling my age by this post, I know!

Wanda!

Now, don't laugh but we STILL wear those suntaned color pantyhose tights under our bike shorts to class. We were "taught" years ago if you your wore them (the kind that the dance warehouses sell) that it would prevent aching legs and also varicose veins. They are such a part of our wardrobe that we have never given them up. Now, how is that for telling my age? Been wearing them for 23+ years!!!

RE: Wanda!

Hi There Debbie (I need to email you for catch up time soon soon)...

Yes, those suntaned pantyhose....they do make your legs feel sleek and toned, don't they? I too ordered bunches of them from a Dance catalog. I got runs in them before the new shipment would come.

Kathy, you know, I never did understand the reasoning behind wearing the belt. To save money, I tried just wearing a regular belt so I would blend in with the video (yeah, like they could See Me,hahah). But the belt didn't do anything for me either. LOL

We girls ought to set aside a week for exercising in our old workout outfits. LOL At least the leg warmers. hahahah

Ah...to reminisce..... Looking back, I can see I jumped some pretty high hurdles. In a way, it would be neat to put on the old stuff and wear it with the new me! :9

Hi Angela, I was just talking about looking like the girls in the video while exercising at home. Just like I still do by having to buy the outfits Cathe wears. Sorry for the confusion. ;-)
