Oh No! Warm weather and white legs!

;( Is'nt it awful when the weather turns nice and you pull out your shorts to show your nice toned body and your legs are as white as a ghost:+ It is supposed to go up to 70 degrees today and then tomorrow hit 80 here in NY state! Wow, I can not believe it after the bitter cold winter we had:) Guess I'll have to make an appointment at the tanning salon!:D

Try warm weather and a white head that has gone bald due to alopecia! On my walk yesterday, with my shorts and frayed tank top, sports bra, wrist weights and headphones on my bald head, I looked like a goblin from Planet Stupid.

I'll split the cost of a few sessions with ya!

:D Oh that is too funny! Not the fact that you have alopecia but the way you word it. I have a ton of bushy, curly brown hair if you would like some of that also! :7 Let me know when you want to go tanning!;)

I'd love to take you up on the hair-donation thing. I too have a ton of bushy brown hair; unfortunately it happens to be on parts of my body NOT my head!

When I have a nano-second, we'll do a sympathy-tan!

OMG you are funny. I hope you mean your legs (bushy brown hair) - hehe

I hear ya! Today I had to take my son to Mommy and Me swim class and my poor pale legs were not ready! I use a self tanner and don't normally start applying til May. Looks like I'll be a bit early this year! Susan

I was out gardening for an hour the other day, but my legs didn't seem to get much sun (I put sunscreen on my face and neck area, but let the arms and legs soak up some rays). The color of my legs is reminiscent of the underbelly of certain fish (luckily, they don't smell the same). One of my students (college) is even paler than I am, but somehow it looks better on her--more a "porcelaine complexion, all over" than "deathly pale."

This would be a good thread for someone to post the name of a good self-tanning product that's not too expensive. I need one because I don't go out in the sun at all, except to walk, mow the lawn, or hit golf balls. The warm weather will still not bring me out - a sun worshiper I'm not. I have a sister who will be 55 this year, (yikes!) and she looks way older because she spent too much time sun bathing. Not good for really fair blondes.

Here's a new politically correct term for you people, "pigment-impaired".

I have olive skin so I am "pigment-gifted"

I've used Neutrogena Self Tanning Foam for the past 2-3 years and love it. It goes on easy, dries in about 5 minutes and looks great. It's inexpensive too(I think b/w $5-7) and the bottle last a while! Susan

;) Can the Neutrogena self tanner be used on your face as well? I actually would like to stay away from the tanning booths because of my age ( premature wrinkles)plus I always burn and do not tan. I am very fair complected:D Also, how long does the self tanner work and does it streak? Please let me know.

I THINK they have a special one just for the face. However I have used the Foam on my face with out a problem. I usually put it on at the start, 3 days in a row. Then maybe once or twice a week or so to keep it going. I have not had streaking problems. The thing to know is a little foam goes a long way! Susan

The weather was SOOOOOO Nice in MA yesterday :) but its gonna be getting cold again.

FUnny I could care less about tan legs - FIRM legs with NO CELLULITE - now that would be awesome!
