Oh My!

Cathlete
I've joined Rhonda on her 12 fitness and nutrition challenge. I've started week one with Power Hour as my weight workout. I haven't done this workout in a few months and boy do I feel it today.

My guads gave my a hearty 'good morning' when I rolled over in bed, my glutes said 'How's it going?' when I sat up in bed. When I reached for the light my shoulders said 'It's about time you got up!', as I got dressed my biceps and triceps said, 'Here, let us help.' and as I looked behind me to back out of my drive my chest said 'Don't forget about me!'. The only area that isn't sore is my back. I had to lighten my barbell because my legs were shaking so bad I didn't have good control on the dead lifts.:)

All I can say is...life is good.:)

I laughed while reading your post because I too had shelved Powerhour for like the past 3 months and I did it for the first time again last Friday and "WOW!" I'd forgotten what a workout it could be, and Saturday morning my thighs were so tight, and my shoulders so sore all I could do was laugh aloud and say to myself, "always underestimating the endurance workouts aren't you?!" :)

Yeah, Powerhour is a great workout! And funny how that comes back to you about the time you're doing the "low end static lunges!" :)

I remember the feeling of doing it the first time, or coming back to it after not doing it for a while. What exquisite pain! (No, I'm not a masochist, but I certainly can appreciate the "burn and tightness in the belly of the muscle" pain and the future improvements in body compostion it should lead to--someday!).

LOL DeeDee..

I can SO relate to you!! That is the first thought I had this morning upon rising..."Will I ever NOT wake up sore??!!!" Every mornin' represents a new ache!! I am however doing S&H now and I raised my step on Mon. for Interval Max to 8". My calves are BEYOND sore!!! You know the kind that sets in only when you are sitting and inactive only to incapacitate you when you try to move?? Yeah, real fun...

I know exactly what you mean Janice. You know, I think we are doing Cathe proud. She always tells us to 'Listen to your body', and boy are our bodies talking to us right now.:)
