to tell you guys....DH did a Cathe workout and it was soooo funny.I tried not to laugh b/c I don't want to discourage him but there were times that I couldn't keep it in.
We were out Saturday night and after lunch (on sunday) I said, "I am working out, do you want to join me?" and he did. We did MM. He was very impressed but all he did was whine. He would have to take breaks but he blamed it on the fact that we had been out the night before.He also said that this is the worst movie he as ever watched.He wasn't sore on Monday but yesterday he was.
Tonight we just finished GS B,S,&B.He did o.k with the back part but he hates it when she wants to get the band out. He thinks she is crazy when she says "now do 15" Shoulders he had to take a few breaks and when it came to biceps...he did them, with numerous breaks and even had to go down to 10 lbs! It was funny b/c I wanted the 12's and 15's and those are the same weights he wanted! I didn't want to say anything, instead I would just take the 10's and let him think that those were the weights I always used.I don't want him to realize that we can lift the same weight, that would eat him up inside.
Anyway, I just wanted to share. He really enjoys the workouts and thinks she is in awesome shape (which she is) I just thought that he was going to be a tough guy and not admit that this workouts are hard but he admitted it.
Tomorrow night is GS Legs....I think he is going to be hurt'in!

That's a great story! I'm trying to get my DH to do a Cathe work out. He works out on a regular basis, too. I just want to see if he can get through the whole thing. He's always amazed how Cathe is talking and joking while she's lifting 40+ pounds. Let us know how your Dh does with GSL! That's one tough work out, but I love it!

BTW ~ I checked out your pictures. You two are a great looking couple. I noticed you have straight hair in some and curly hair in others. Do you straighten your hair? I do. Just curious what straightening balm/cream you use, if you do. Looks like your hair is as curly as mine.

How cool, Lori.It's nice he worked out again with you. I wish DH would venture again to do another of her workouts. He doesn't underestimate her though. That's for sure.

He isn't complaining that he is sore today though. Last night he wanted me to turn the shower on for him b/c he didn't think he was going to be able to:) He says anyone can pick up 30 lbs dumbbells and do 12 reps but when you use Cathes slower pace, it makes a world of difference.And it really does.

Dallas-My hair is naturally curly but there are times when I have the TIME and ENERGY to straigthen it. I was doing it for a while all the time and I got faster but I have gone back to o'natural.Its just so much easier but there are times when I even hate washing it.I have to use a certain gel and so on.It must be nice sometimes though to just have short hair. But atleast I don't have to stand in the bathroom mirror for an hour putting each hair in a certain spot.

Lori, that story is great! My fiance has his own weight bench and insists that my workouts are the easiest thing in the world! HE has never tried to get through a 68 minute workout with me though, I might try to get him to comeplete one, see if he can even get through the first 10 minutes. :7
 
Lori, do you mind sharing what gel you use on your hair? I also have nat. curly hair and it looks like it's about the same curl as yours so I was curious as to what works for you.

Lori that is awesome. I wish my DH would do just one of Cathe's DVDs. He's always making his comments and since he doesn't work out, I would love him to see him attempt one.
