I see the term "weight loss" in here alot. I think the scale is useful to a point but if you are adding muscle you may actually see weight gain when you get to a certain point. If you are just starting out with workouts, and are overweight, then the scale is a good gauge of how you are doing with weight loss. But just keep in mind that muscle weighs more than fat. If you are relatively fit to begin with, or in great shape but trying to bust off five pounds like some people are posting, throw the scale in the dumpster and gauge by dress sizes or pants sizes. Heck that might be misleading too at times. Bodyfat percentage is another good gauge. Ya know what? Pinch yourself at various problem spots on your body and see if it tones up over time. Heck I do that myself for my obliques and lower abs.

So true... I refuse to weigh myself anymore. I probably weighed myself a year ago and haven't done it again. I have lost two dress sizes since I stopped weighing myself and focusing on the number.
