Ok I was sitting here going NUTS kids are watching spongebob and fairly odd parents and jimmy neutron and I am not sure if I am just a weirdo but I HATE cartoons!!! LOL is there anyone else that can't stand cartoons, there are some I can tolerate like scooby doo and maybe some bugs bunny but the new ones of today I hate
 
I hate the cartoons on tv these days, too. (Wow, 'these days'...I feel so old)
I only really liked the Bugs Bunny Roadrunner Hour as a younger person, anyway.
Oh yeah, and Scooby....I feel like there may be one or two more but can't think of them right now.

But, yeah, I just hate the cartoons my gbabes love. Yeah, I let 'em watch them anyway :D
 
But have you watched "Kim Possible"? She is one tough teen! I love that show!!! She is a positive female character in the cartoon world. My 34 year old sister and I watch it quite a bit..and sis has no children!

I totally agree with you about the others, though. The kids are not allowed to watch most of them..."Ed, Edd, and Eddy", "Spongebob", etc...they are atrocious!!!

Even as a kid I didn't like cartoons that much, except for the "Superfriends Hour." What can I say? I'm a pointy-headed geek. :D

i like some of the cartoons today. i don't care for jimmy neutron,avatar, pokemon and all that. but i think i watch spongebob more then the kids do LOL. right now i am sick to death of scooby doo b/c that is the only videos viola wants to watch.

I'm not a fan of the new cartoons...I like what I grew up with: Bugs, Daffy, Road Runner & Coyote, Tom and Jerry, etc....:)
 
I guess it depends on the cartoon and how many times I've already seen it. My DD watches the Disney movies that I grew up on (Cinderella, Lady and the Tramp, etc.) and I like those movies, but when you've seen them 50 times or so they get really old. Some of the more educational cartoons out right now for younger kids I don't mind. DD likes Little Einsteins which I think is a cute show, and she likes Dora The Explorer which I don't mind either. I don't think I could handle Sponge Bob though.

I may be nuts, but I just LOVE SpongeBob!!! He's been my favorite for a long time, and I am so sad my kids are getting "too old" to watch him. He has the most adorable, postive, sweet attitude about the world....I always try to act a little like Bob everyday. Yeah, yeah, I know I am crazy...

I am so stuck watching spongebob! hubby loves that show and so do the kids!! something about a sponge living under water??? I will take bugs and scooby any day LOL as for cartoon movies like the Disney ones, I love those, fairly Odd Parents has to be the most stupid cartoon ever created!!! along with the BoohBahs!! who ever created those had no Neurons in the brain!!! LOL, I rather have my youngest watch the PBS shows like Arthur and those shows, I think they are more productive
 
Bugs Bunny and Rocky & Bullwinkle are the Gold Standard of cartoons. Some Disney's, too, like the old ones with Goofy.

I am a cartoon hater for sure!!!!! Hate them!!!! I did like the Flintstones as a little girl. I prefered watching HR Puffin' Stuff with Witchie Poo instead and then there was something with the sea monsters and one with a school house with this weird funny teacher that would pop fake snakes out of can, etc...does anyone know what I am talking about? Gosh, I must have been 4 when that show was on. Preferred those shows instead of cartoon. I liked Land of the Lost too. That was cool.

LAND OF THE LOST!!! Oh my gosh, I used to watch that show all the time when I was a kid. There was a show called School House Rock I think. Maybe that's what you are thinking of Charlotte.

I don't like 99% of the cartoons that are out there right now but I LOVE Sponge Bob. LOVE LOVE LOVE him. That cartoon characters are so stupid you just gotta laugh.

I loved Johnny Quest, and the Fantastic Four. Also Flintstones, Fractured Fairytales, anything from Bugs Bunny, Rocky & Bullwinkle, Secret Squirrel, Atom Ant, Top Cat. I remember one called Gigantor. I can still sing the theme song from it. Watched Underdog a lot too.

We watched a LOT of cartoons on Saturday morning. The Flintstones came on at night.

Watched Dark Shadows every afternoon at 3:30 p.m. Whole neighborhood came over to watch. We never missed a show. The werewolf totally scared me big time.

I need to find my Mary Poppins lunch pail :)

Oh, give me Winnie the Pooh (most Disney), Tom & Jerry, Bugs Bunny, Underdog, and Bullwinkle & Rocky over all the -- uh um -- "reality" shows that dominate TV today.

We don't really watch TV. I'd say less than 4-5 hours total per week.
