Off Topic - Age of Father??

This is really off topic. My husband is 53, and i am 35. Is there any pregnancy problems associated with older dads? We already have a 9 year old son (a long story why I waited so long), and we are FINALLY married, and would love to have another baby. Does anyone have any opinions/knowledgs/etc. of older dads?? BTW...financially , it is not a problem, if that matters at all (sorry if that is a little blunt!!!)

Hi, my sister in law asked her doctor the same question, whether the age of the dad is important. Apparently, he told her it can be, there are concerns. That is all she said and for the record, they are quite pregnant now. I think that is a good question for your doctor and find out all the facts. I know this is a lame answer, but I remember being quite surprised when she told me. Whoda thunk it.
