Oddball question

Okay- this is a weird question. You know those funky hat-things that aren't really hats but just sort of hats that the Brittish are so fond of? I can't remember the name of what they are called and can't find it on the internet. It's bugging the heck out of me.

I have one that I wore to my uncle's wedding after seeing them at the royal wedding. I wish I had more of them and more places to wear them!

ETA: Well I'm not all that fond of the one Kate's wearing in that picture.. but you get what I mean.

LOL! That's one of the tamer fascinators I've seen. Some of the ones from the Royal Wedding were quite interesting...
