Good Morning
How is everyone?!! Don't have to be at work till noon today yeah!
I went out last night had a couple beverages but it doesnt take much anymore:)LOL Had fun though!
Still doing 4DS rotation. Yesterday IMAX Extreme love that one! Today is 4DS Chest back and abs. I just wanted to let ya'll know what type of supplements I take, I don't know if you all would agree on this, but I've been taking them for awhile now it it works:) I take BSN's N.O. Explode as my pre workout drink. And a fat and carb blocker before breakfast lunch and dinner:confused: And Tri flex its an excellent joint supplement!

Good morning Randi and all to follow...

Randi: Have a great workout and day at work. I will have to check out those supplements. The only thing I do is drink a protein shake after workouts. I also take my normal dose of daily vitamins.

Today we are going to take a family bike ride then I am coming back to do slow/heavy biceps and triceps....I am sore today. So, this should be interesting!!

Randi -- I hope you have a great workout. I take the GNC Mega Active Vitapak for the last two weeks and I've really been liking them.

Kathy -- that sounds so nice, the bike ride. Enjoy it with your family.

Iris -- I did SB yesterday. Gosh, that challenge at the end gets me...

The goal today? Another shot at Imax2. But first breakfast. A nice glass of soy milk and some waffles.

Hi Everyone! I slept in this morning -- well til 6ish, and then just stayed in bed listening to podcasts. It was great. I'm going to go to the school later with my son and we're going to run around the track.

Randi, I'm very curious about that pre-workout drink you have..... I've been reading about how bad it is to exercise (weight lifting, really -- cardio doesn't matter so much I guess) on an empty stomach. Since I get up so early, there's just no way I'm going to eat and then wait an hour to exercise, so wondering if some sort of drink is the way to go. I may try something.......

I always eat breakfast before I workout then drink N.O Explode it's amazing how hard you workout when you drink it:)

This morning I decided to do Yoga

! I haven’t done Yoga in a while and it was GREAT!! It was the one from FitTv Namaste Yoga. I have the DVDs and I don’t remember which episode I did, but it was great! It was only for 20 mins. I really like their Yoga. I had my dd join me but then 10 mins into the workout she gave up because she said it hurts to keep her arms up, lol.


Randi: WTG on yesterday and today’s workout! I have some BSN Lean Dessert here and it’s awesome! I still have 2 bottles, but can’t buy anymore until the economy gets better, money is tight

I forgot to ask this question. I want to become a fitness instructor, but which of these is best: ACE Fitness or AFPA? I know Cathe was certified by ACE. Which one have you guys heard is best? Thanks! :D
 
Hey Guys...

Obvious rest day for me today, with work/sleep/work. I ate like an idiot all day yesterday, so I feel like crap in that dept. Just going to have to eat cleaner today.

Jake is doing better today! No fever today!!!! (so far) Still the cough though, It's such a relief to have him doing better!

I felt so sad having to be at work last night. I called home serveral times. The first I asked Greg if Jake had a fever (it was around 8p). He said "No, he's been sleeping on the couch mostly". He never actually CHECKED the temp, just figured he didn't have one because he didn't complain. I asked him to check (!!!). It was 103.8!! Helloo McFly!?!?! I swear, Men!

But after that broke, no more temp!

Meanwhile, a patient at work that I really REALLY liked, Coded. She was 61, and a sweatheart, She had AML after having Myelodysplasia for years (Disorder of the blood that requires lots of transfusions). Her platelets were extremely low, and she was vomitting ... she ended up having a huge bleed in the main stem of her brain. Another nurse found her slumped over , not breathing, after JUST seeing her 10 minutes before. So so so sad!!

Besides that I was so fatigued, since I can't get my new Synthroid dose until Tuesday. My body was just fighting me all night long to go to sleep. Ugh!

One more night!

Randi: IMAX Extreme sounds fun! (is it circuit?). Your 4DS workout looks good for today. Whatever supplements you take, sure are working! You look fabulous!! I take a Multivit, Zinc, Calcium , fish oil, and Vit. D. I also up my protein intake with lean meats/yogurt/cheese.

Kathy: Glad S&H is working for ya! the bike ride sounds VERY nice!

Hottie: Hope IMAX2 went well for you today!

Beth: LOL @ sleeping *IN* until 6am!! You sound like me!

Ivy: I have DVR'd a number of the Namaste workouts from Fit TV. I love them too! The music and changing of the backgrounds is so relaxing and I always get into it when I do it. LOL @ your daughter getting tired! That's cool your library is open on Sundays!!

Hey guys! Imax 2 down. So, I got more of the step moves right (I have a really hard time with orienting myself with long hop turns...) but I tanked more on the plyo moves. But kept on moving the whole time, no hitting the pause button, and was very thankful to get through it near the end. More progress and its definitely shocking my body, I don't care what Mr. Scale says. Though I'm not going to touch it until next weekend I'm thinking...I wanna go back to LowMax later this week at one point.

Beth - that's so cool that you work out with your son. My mother never really did anything athletic with us or encouraged it when I was younger. In fact, whenever I did do something in front of her (say something like an aerobics thing on PBS) she would make comments about how I was doing it wrong or how I was off time or something like that. It really made it hard to want to workout and I think it affected me for years later, so I think its just so fantastic that you (and everyone else in the check-in group) act as such great fitness models for your children.

Ivy - thanks! Yoga sounds like something I should be doing more. But its so much easier to pay someone else to do a thai yoga masage -- LOL! Have you guys ever done one those? It's fantastic after you've done a heavy weight workout. I wouldn't know anything about certification but all the trainers at USC seem to be ACE.

Chris - I'm glad your son is better. Your husband sounds like a lot of men - LOL! I have a story like that regarding my dad. But I'm so sorry about your patient. It sounds heartbreaking. I don't know how you do it. ::hugs::

Chris: YAY!!! I'm so glad to hear your DS is much better today and that he's fever is gone!! That's so great! I also ate badly big time yesterday! I can just kick myself for it, but you know that means MORE cardio this week for me, lol!!

Hottie: WTG on IM2!! I'm actually thinking of doing that one tomorrow, but still not sure, we'll see. I've never heard of Thai Yoga massage, that sounds great! I might have to look into that one.

Goodnight everyone! Going to watch 88 Mins with DH and then heading for bed. BB tomorrow :D
 
Ok, I see we're all in sync on the bad eating again! :) Let's clean it up! (I'm shouting to myself!)

Hottie, well, I don't know that we actually worked out together today. Funny, the other day after an hour and a half of soccer practice, he ran around the track kicking a soccer ball for eight laps (2 miles). So that's what he wanted to do today when I went running. But when we got there today, he was more into just kicking the ball around with his brother, who ended up coming alone. They had fun and I got a workout -- that's the good thing. My legs have been sore this afternoon. We went for a hike in our woods and there were some hills, so that didn't really help. My husband and I have been trying to stretch together in the evenings -- I could definitely use it tonight!

Have not had a yoga massage. Have not had any massage since about two years before my children were born. :)
