Hey Guys!!

Where's our early bird Vilma these past few days!! You're slacking, lady!! ;) Hope everything is ok, and you didn't get the sickies....

So my plan for this week, since I finished Beth's rotation LAST week, is to do one more week of it, but mix and match, following the basic concept:

Day 1: Total Body
Day 2: Cardio
Day 3: Total Body Circuit or Lower Body Circuit
Day 4: Cardio
Day 5: Upper body and leg floor work
Day 6: Cardio
Day 7: Rest

Today I'm going to do either IMAX original or IMAX2. ....

BBL...

Hey Chris, and everyone who follows! Yes, I hope everything is ok with all of our missing friends.......

Your week looks good! You know what's funny is that I think the one I threw together a couple of days ago is going to look pretty similar to this format. Maybe you should do that rotation of Cathe's with the extra cardio stuff added in.....

I have my session with the kettlebell trainer this morning. I was going to get up early and do some pilates, but darn this cold is just wiping me out and yet I had an awful night of sleep. So, I slept an hour later..... the kettlebell session will have to suffice.

Chris, I was sorry to read about your rotten work day! Hopefully some time and space will make you feel better about your profession again! It's got to be a very stressful job -- especially the long overnight shifts you have. Sending you belated hugs

-Beth

Hi everyone ;)

Today was one loongg tough workout...I did all of SJP, week 4 day 1 of the pushup challenge after the warm up, and Kick Max leg drills......I'm wiped and it's only day 3! lol

I just have to say, I love love love the step segment in SJP! By far my favorite, I love that song Kung Fu Fighting!! lol

Have great workouts everyone!

Iris

Hi everyone...

Quick checkin for me..Just finished up with Amy Bento's All pump xtreme..That one was tough. Sorry I have been missing. Hubby went out of town yesterday for work. So, I was real busy with the kids. Today Lauren has drawing lessons. I will try to come back on later. We are in the middle of school work right now.

Talk to you later...

Got IMAX done! I chose IMAX because it was less on my calf. Though it did tweak again during the lunge interval. I knew I shouldn't have done those!

It is one dreary rainy dark day today! Ick! I have to go out, and I don't want to!!!

Thanks, Beth. Yeah, you're right , the rotation you posted the other day is similar to this sequence. I'll keep my eye out for another kind, plus maybe I'll do the NOV 08 Cathe rotation , depending! I felt like doggy-doo yesterday after work. I really felt like I should have /could have been a patient's better advocate and felt like in the end I failed him. It really bothers me. Plus, not sure if you saw in the news, about the 8 year old boy at the Gun Show who "accidently" shot himself with an Uzi. That happened in my town. I didn't know the family, but it really got to me. THinking about MY 9 year old shooting an Uzi. The article said that his dad was right there, taking a picture of him shooting. Can you even imagine? It really bothers me, the whole thing. the news in general has been depressing lately. I have to stop looking at it!!

Holy , Iris! That is a kick BUTT workout you did today! I agree, the step in SJP is the best!

Kathy
: Did you finish the OCT rotation? or are you just subbing? Sorry you've been so busy! You need more down time to post with us!

Oh! I forgot to share with you one more thing. Yesterday was just so full of everything! The Good Housekeeping Magazine called me, and took info to include me in an article on working out at home and losing weight/ maintaining weight. I sent them some before/after pictures today! She wasn't sure what month it would be in yet, but would let me know. funny, huh?

BBL!!

Hola Amigas!

I just got in as I had to take my car in for an oil change and new fuel filter.

I'm getting ready to jump on my TM for CCv6 Sean's version I'll do Candace's version one of these days. She is not as motivational as Sean but hers is good too.

I've been swamped over here and my energy level has been low lately.

My son had his regionals on Saturday so I was gone all day as I had to drive him to the place and back home.

Sunday I did CCPP with the add on challenge :D
Monday I did The Kettlebell Way adding on a segment from AOS Newport.

Today the kids didn't have school so I slept in till 7am then had to jump in the shower and get out for the car service.

I'm tired already :( I haven't been drinking my coffee in about a week since I am drinking tons of Chai tea but I may just brew a nice expresso to get me ready for my date w/ Sean here soon.

I also started back to counting my WW points - 18 points doesn't seem enough for me but I'm trying as I want to get back to my spring /summer weight.

I need to go back when & if I find some time for personals.

Sorry gals I feel so guilty I haven't done personals in awhile but sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming when life is pulling at me from all angles.

I've noticed since I've not been online much the household work gets done faster and I have time at the end of the day to read one of my books or finally catch up on some tv shows that have been dvr'd without me falling asleep folding clothes or doing the fiances here lol

I plan on doing better.

Hi ladies! I'm here! Sorry I've been MIA lately. Life just got crazy and my workouts haven't been too great. I was in Austin, TX for work most of last week. I felt guilty for leaving, but, oh, did I need that time to myself. I did get in a couple treadmill workouts at the hotel. The good news is Caitlyn is doing wonderful and will go back to school probably on Monday. DH and I have been having some major problems, and it's really bringing me down. I'm really not sure what's going on, but I'm very stressed by it all. My dad is doing much better, but Dh's dad is going downhill.

I'm a bit nervous about something else. Ian felt faint a few times after gym class, so we took him to the doctor. They did an EKG and said it was a bit abnormal and given our family history he should see a cardiologist. So we're taking him to Caitlyn's cardiologist this coming Monday. It could be nothing and I'm praying that it is, but any other good thoughts would be appreciated. I just don't think I could deal with anything serious being wrong.

On to happier things! I did workout yesterday and the day before. Sunday was Squeeze Stronger - I'm feeling it now. Yesterday was Tracey Staehle's Hi/lo med ball. Really fun workout! Today I wanted to do something, but my workout space was occupied. :( I have tentative lunch plans, if those fall through, I'll use the treadmill.

It's cold here!! Only about 32 degrees this morning. Poor Ian. He tried on his winter coat from last year and it comes halfway up his forearms! So, we're shopping for a new coat tonight.

Chris, sorry your job is stressing you now. I think I posted this before, but I think nurses are just amazing and do a wonderful job. I'm sure you have way too many patients and it's tough to be on top of your game 110% of the time. That is a scary story about the boy and the Uzi. I just can't imagine. Hang in there. OK, wow!! How did you get hooked up with Good Housekeeping magazine?? That is so cool. Can't wait for details and to see the article and pics!!

Beth, from what I've heard, the kettlebell session will be quite a workout! Hope you are feeling better. I'll be interested to hear how the session went. I broke down and ordered the Lauren Brooks DVD. Now I just need to get a kettlebell!

Iris, wow, that's one tough workout!!

Kathy, did you do the entire All pump workout? That's a long and tough one.

Vilma, I know how it feels to be pulled from all angles. Just coming in to say hi is great! Take care of yourself and I'm sure Sean will help. Oh, I meant to tell you, I did CC Press Play Saturday. Wow! It was great. Afterwards, someone asked me what I was listening to on my MP3 cause "it sure looked like you were burning alot of calories!"

Hi Hottie. BM2 after HSC sounds tough!

I need to do some type of rotation. I'm kind of floundering with what workouts to do each day. I'll see what Cathe comes up with for Nov.

That's all for now!

Joanne

Hey!

I made it through my errands. God I hate cold rainy days!

Vilma! : Glad you're doing well!! Your workouts sound challenging and I know what you mean about getting back on track with eating. When I was looking through pictures to send Good Housekeeping, I ran across a bunch of when I first lost weight. I was really THIN. I'm about 10 lbs heavier now than that. And I miss the smaller hips/thighs thing. I just have to get my weekend eating under control. THAT is my entire problem... 18 points doesn't sound like enough though, are you sure you are only supposed to eat 18 points? Is that with the newest parameters where you answer the questions to determine your point range?

Joanne: So glad to hear from you! I'm sure it seems like a long recovery, but it seems that Caitlyn JUST had major open heart surgery, and now she's back in school?? That's fantastic! Kids spring back so easily. I'm sorry you're having hubby trouble. My marriage of 20 years has changed so much over the last 15 years.... sometimes I wonder too. But I could not imagine my life without the big lug!! (((hugs))) to you! Your life sounds so busy, it's great you're getting workouts in!! .... Doing the NOV rotation together would be good !! .... Oh, actually Kathy Smith's publicist/manager called me and asked if they could send my story out to Good Housekeeping . And I said what the heck! LOL!! That's how they got my info.

Hottie: I was going to PM you today if you didn't check in!!! Holy  on those 2 workouts!! You go, girl, you go!!

I've been feeling kind of depressed and teary today. I keep thinking of my patient at work. :( And everything is just making me sad and torn up. I hope this clears. I've never felt so moody unless it was TOM, before.

I ended up wanting to do some Ab work this afternoon. So I used Comcast On Demand Fitness and did a standing ab workout with,... Kathy Smith! (she was oddly enough, on my mind! ;)) It was cardio/abs, not bad to shake things up for 15 minutes. And then I did some Yoga for 12 more minutes from On Demand. It felt good.

Off now to do laundry and start up dinner....

Hey Everyone! And I do mean Everyone -- it seems we've crawled out of the woodwork, or whereever. Glad to see you all chiming in.

Chris, I tend not to look at the news too much. I had not heard about the boy with the uzi -- it sounds awful.

Joanne, sorry to hear about your troubles -- just keep in mind, and remind your husband, that you guys are going through lots and lots of stress right now -- between Caitlyn and your respective fathers, and now your son has to go to the cardiologist! That's a lot of stress to deal with, and so maybe he's retreating inside himself a bit, or whatever, to try to deal with all of it. I sure will be thinking about your son and hoping things are not serious there!!

On the kettlebells.... it was a fun session with the trainer this morning. All we did was swings -- both two handed and one handed. She's a big fan of the two handed swing because she said it really builds up your shoulders nicely. She also taught me something I have not picked up on with either of the dvds I have, and that is.... you can do long, slow arcs, medium arcs, and speed. The speed ones you actually stop the bell on the upswing (so your arms really come into play), and keep it very short. She took me through a bunch of combinations of the different kinds of swings, also mixing in some one-handed swings, too. It was fun! My homework is to get the timing down so I do 20 swings in 30 seconds. Do five sets of those, and then bump it to 21 swings in 30 seconds -- five sets, and then finally bump it to 22 swings in 30 seconds -- another five sets of those. All with equal (or longer) rest periods. That's going to be quite a workout, I think.

-Beth

Chris thanks for the points info.

Yes I remember before I let my etools go I took that test and got 18 points plus I do have my AP which run from 3-6 on most days and the weekly points too.

I just don't like having to use my AP and my weekly if I have enough self control.

Honestly I am hovering at my goal weight but I am happier with my own personal goal of 120. Granted dh doesn't care for my personal weight and says I'm fine where I'm at but I'm not doing it for him anyway :p
Esp. with the holidays approaching I want to keep tabs on my points just in case.

Beth I'm thinking of getting the clinic dvd just to make sure my form is good - You are lucky to have a RKC nearby. Now how many times have I said that :p:rolleyes:

Joanne - I hear you girl about the feeling pulled ( I'm there all the time as a single married mom) - I can't even imagine all the stress you and your hubby are under. Positive vibes going to you both and the rest of your family.

Well gals I'm off to go and finish dinner.

Tonight I am going to bed as soon as I see the hubby off to work. Lately I've been waking up after 1am and in a cold sweat (me thinks the peri meno is starting blah but I still deal with the nonsesne of TOM and painful cramps:mad: like today grrrr)

Huggles to you all!
