obsession with fitness

any out there that find themselves constantly thinking about exercise, reading everything related-- constantly thinking about your next workout--- trying to educate themselves on every area of health...

i have a lot of time on my hands this summer and have just got wild-- i've made a notebook with different routines, i plan my day around my workouts, i only read fitness mags, my fav places to shop are sports related--- even went to Tuesday Morning today and came out with a great yoga bag--- went to a vitamin shop and sat and read a great book about body strength.....my friends are getting concerned:)..
i love it! i also love this forum--- i visit here at least 3 times a day--- i've learned so much--- thanks to all.

yep and I think I may be annoying my friend who I walk with in the evenings. lol. I feel like I almost have to be a bit obsessed to really get into it. I don't want to fall into the I only work out occasionally deal again. blah!
I visit here often too cause the computers always online and it takes like 5 seconds to check in real fast. I also check my email though too. or look up things online I had on my mind. Including workouts/fitness. ;)

I don't think anyone can enjoy exercise like we all seem to do unless you ARE a little obsessed with it. Otherwise you wouldn't want to do it. I don't know many people at all who even exercise at all.

I love it too, but since I am naturally an "all or nothing" or rather an "A" type personality, I make a point of taking at least one rest day, and remembering life has so much more to offer than counting calories, and worrying about my workouts. Yeah, easier said than done right??:p I agree, a little obsession surrounding exercise and eating is good, it keeps you aware and on your toes right? But too much of a good thing, is well, too much.

lol Robin, I admit I do more than that too.

Tneah -I'm an "all or nothing" personality too. drives me nuts. my sporadic attempts at fitness before were me trying to get re-obsessed again. lol.

I'm going to go play with my kettlebells now and watch a new w/o video I just bought while I eat my ezekiel breakfast cereal. ;)

Count me in, too! :) I'm off on summer break, too, so I've found that my hobby . . . er . . . obsession . . . has gotten a bit worse! ;-)

I like to think of it less as an 'obsession' than as a 'field of interest and study'!

I actually treat it the same way I have treated other things I have had an interest in (gardening, fan fiction, and other fields), but I've kept an interest in it longer than in other areas.
