Has anyone tried these lightbulbs?
I was just reading an advertizement that said these bulbs are supposed to eliminate airborne pathogens and destroy germs thereby keeping the air clean 23 hours even after the light is turned off. "The bulb is sprayed with titanium dioxide (found in rock). When the bulb is shining, its light reacts with the particles, prompting the release of hydroxyl radicals that destroy germs." The bulbs are supposed to help save on electric bills because of not having to use the big cluncky air purifiers. ?????
I have some allergy problems and was wondering if you all had any thoughts about these lightbulbs, good, bad, or indifferent. The bulbs are very expensive but are supposed to last 6,000 hours.
Their website is ozonelite.com, but I would much rather hear from my friends who has actually tried these to see if they really work as opposed to reading an advertizement. ;-)
