O/T - Thoughts & Prayers from the UK

Cathlete
Hi Guys,

I haven't posted for a while - currently 51/2 months pregnant with my first and time seems to be just passing me blissfully by!!

Anyway, I just wanted to say that my thought and prayers are with you all (my "cyber friends") on the eve of 9/11.

Although we are thousands of miles away here in the UK, the impact of that terrible day lives on for us also. We are united in our grief.

My love, prayers and thoughts go to all those who lost a loved one or who were affected by the tragedy. One year on? Seems like only yesterday.

Love Kaz.

Hi Kaz! Thanks so very much for thinking of all of us here in the US. Today the 11th is such a sad day. I work right across the street from Ground Zero. A most difficult day. Just trying to get through it in one piece. Bless you! Kathy

That is so nice to hear. Sometimes I, in the US here, assume that every other nation on earth despises us. I've seen so many anti-American protests on the evening news that maybe my perceptions have become skewed. It's truly wonderful to have an ally as strong and steadfast as the UK.:*

Also, I hope you don't mind me mentioning, but I just miss Princess Diana terribly. I still wish she was around, I loved having her as such a Perfect/Imperfect role model. Especially when it comes to dealing with your "in-laws". Ha! Is she as overwhelmingly popular there as she is/was here?

God bless you,

Julie

Hi All!

Julie,
We still all miss Diana over here! She was an amazingly emotional, caring and beautiful woman, who was still quite naive (incredibly!). Living under such an intense media spotlight really took it's toll on her at times. Can you believe it's 5 years since her untimely death? Another one of those occasions when you can remember exactly where you were and what you were doing when the news broke. We recently had a TV tribute to her life over here and it was still amazing how many people are still emotionally affected by her death, even now.

I hope you all managed to get through 9/11 in your own way.

God bless!

Kaz.

Thank you, Kaz!

What a thoughtful post! It truly was a very sad day here and my heart goes out to those closely affected by it. Thank you for thinking of us. Julie, I also miss Diana. What a wonderful, beautiful and caring person she was.
