O/T, Need skincare help..

So, for the last couple weeks I've been trying to figure out a way to clean up my complexion. It's not horrible, but blackheads here and there and the occasional breakout, plus my skin just looks dull and lifeless. I've tried Paula's Choice 2% lotion and solution. The lotion seems to make my skin worse, while the solution hasn't really don't anything for my blackheads. I've also just started trying the new Olay Regenerist Serum, but it's too early to tell if that's going to do anything.

So, my question, does anyone have experience with anything that really works to clear up combo skin and get rid of blackheads effectively without further breakouts?? Any suggestions would be fabulous!!

I started using Elicina cream about 10 months ago, and this seems to be the only thing that has helped my skin. It's an all-natural cream that contains 80% snail extract. Sounds gross, I know, but it acts as an exfoliant and nourishes the skin. It's great for acne, scars, and a multitude of other conditions. Take it from someone who's tried EVEYTHING out there - I love this stuff, and not only has it cleared up my complexion, but my skin is sooo soft now! I've also used it on cuts and scrapes, and not only did they heal faster, but they didn't scar either. It's cheaper to buy 2 bottles at once, and they always ship it to you pretty fast, too. Hi Nicole.

I have combo skin/with break outs too. I have been useing ProActive for a few years now. It has helped my skin so much. Within a couple of weeks I noticed a difference. I rarely have any break outs now and my skin seems to be alot smoother. I used to always use foundation, but now I hardly ever use it. I never thought an infomercial product could work like this. I was skeptical at first, but now I'm convinced that it is a good product. I have my daughter and a few relatives useing it too. Remember, if you do get it off the infomercial, they are very good at changeing your order around for you, if you use one product more than others. I use more cleanser than anything else so sometimes I just call and they send 3 cleansers instead of 1.
I heard somewhere that you can get it in some of the malls now, but I haven't seen it where I live yet.

Maybe it is your makeup (foundation) . I have tried all different kinds of cleansers and nothing really made a difference. But early morning I saw an infomercial for Bare Minerals makeup. I have had it for about 2 weeks now, and since I have been using it, I have not had one single break out, and my skin looks wonderful. It is something about not having any chemicals in it, it is a powder form too. I used to use makeup with acne medicine in it, but it really didn't do much. Maybe it is something to look into. Going without makeup does wonders for your skin too. And a little sun helps with acne if you are judicious about it.
I use cider vinegar as an astringent and it helps kill bacteria, exfoliate the skin, and obviously lower the pH. It's cheap and natural. The smell wears off in a half an hour or so. Maybe you could try putting it on before you go to sleep.
