I thought I would give a warning, I have the new Norton's and keep it updated several times a week and I still got that Novarg Worm, It did not execute to others on my e-mail list but still it sat on my computer till my Norton's ran a scheduled scan and it detected it and deleted it, Just a warning.

Hi Leslie!
Thanks for the warning. You should check your Norton antivirus though and your email system. Those virus should have been detected as they came into your computer. I have McAfee, which does automatic updates for me. No troubles yet....:)

I Have not had any problems with Norton's since I got the new one, I am thinking this worm got through before the update became available. I read on the Norton's website and they said it activates only on about 25% of computers on others it can sit there till detected.

Also I scanned the other day and had no worm, I am thinking I got it when I was downloading some picture tubes for my paint program. Because I scanned just the day before and no worm, and now suspicious e-mails either.

Oh ok. Just be on the lookout. That thing is malicious.
By the way we miss you in yahoo Leslie. I hope you'll come back!

My computer was infected by that nasty bug! It hit me before Norton had a chance to send out updates. I had to go to Symantac and download fxNovarg file, run it twice, and it cleaned out the worm (this was Tuesday morning). Since then, I have received 5 emails from complete strangers with the infected attachments. My ISP is catching them now and deleting the attachment and of course I'm not opening anything and deleting the email. I wish more people would keep up with their anti-virus; it's invaluable!

Like you, the worm did not attach to my address book so none of my contacts received anything from me. Whatta pain!
