Good Morning ladies..

Where is everyone? I looked for the thread and didn't see one. Hope I didn't miss it and start another thread..Oh well..

Today is going to be Pure Strength Legs and Abs...And we have a busy day today. Chris has K4J and church after lunch and immediately after that Lauren has her drawing lesson. Not sure if I will get back on here today or not.

Hope everyone has a great day..

Anyone ever read the Glennbrooke series written by Robin Jones Gunn? She is the best writer. I am so hooked. I am reading Waterfalls right now and love it.. They are wonderful Christian Romance novels...

Talk to you later..

Good Morning Kathy and all who follow :)

Today was PS Back/BM2 Back 2x's and the step combos' from Step Blast.

Kathy- How'd your workout go? I did PS Legs last week and I still have slight DOMS...and the sad part is, I have that on tap for tomorrow again.

BBL

Kathy, for those of us who don't homeschool, it's probably a school holiday and so they're all sleeping in. I slept all the way until 5:22! :) My kids were up earlier today than they were yesterday.... why does it always work that way?! :)

Checking in with Squeeze Stronger again today -- whew, it fries me. Joanne, do you have trouble with that chest work? My arms are so sore by then I can't keep them up. That ab work is so killer, too.

Kathy, I've not heard of that author -- so fun to find something that hooks you like that, isn't it?!

have a great day!!

Good Morning Everyone!

Yes, it's a day off from school for the boys today too. I slept in until 6:30!!! Sweet!

Just got done with PS: Chest, Shoulders, Triceps. And then I added 25 Minutes of Cardio: Shaun T's Hip Hop Abs Cardio Burner. (I'm so funky!). If I get ambitious, I might do some Leaf Raking Max later

Kathy:
Sounds like a busy day for you! Do you guys ever get "holidays" off for homeschool? Any DOMS from PS C,S,T from yesterday? Wondering how I'm going to feel...LOL! I've not heard of that series of books. I really need to make time to read for myself. I'm still trying to get through Snow Flower and the Secret Fan. It's a great book, by I read like 1-2 pages a day only!

Iris: WOWsers on the back work today!!! Did you switch up rotations now? I'm sorry life has thrown you some road bumps. breaking up with a boyfriend has got to be one of the hardest things emotionally. I haven't done it in over 25 years, but I remember the pain and heartache! It sucks!!!

Beth: You guys have GOT to stop talking about Squeeze Stronger!! You're making me want it! I read on OD that ChaLEAN extreme is not coming so soon, and I'm itching for a new weight workout, dangit all!

So going to go get rid of one of my kids (dropping him at a friends house) and then run quick to the store for kitty food and bananas (though I'll come out with $100 worth of food, I'm sure!)

BBL!!!!!

Hi All- raises hand - Slept in till 940 hahahah loved it!

I'm actually printing up my estroven coupon and on my way out the door with my girls.

No school today.

Really quick fly by post until later once I'm done with my workout which will be Lauren's On The Edge dvd.

Beth I'm really close to getting squeeze stronger.... how would that work into a kettlebell/cardio rotation? I'm >thisclose< to ordering it.

Well Lovely Ladies I'm off to shop and rent videos for my gang here :)

Kathy, no, I haven't read that series, but I'm always looking for good books to read. Enjoy your day!

Iris, which rotation are you doing? Sounds fun. I missed the weekend thread, so didn't hear about your breakup. I'm so sorry. I've been there (long ago!) and it's tough. Hang in there and take time for yourself.

Beth, don't you love Squeeze Stronger (sorry Chris ;))? Yes, that chest work is killer - I can't get through it without resting here and there. I just love that workout more each time I do it. I'm sore everywhere today from it yesterday. I'm seriously thinking of using just that for my strength work and rotating with cardio to see what kind of results I would get. But, I think I'll finish out this month's rotation and add it in where I can and maybe do that next month. We have a school holiday today, too. And, yes, my kids always wake up earlier on days off than school days. What's that all about??

Chris, I have a few of those Hip Hop Abs DVDs. They're fun! And, yes, funky, which I am so NOT! I love to read, but only read a few pages at a time, too. If I ever (rarely!) have any quiet time to read I wind up falling asleep. I mostly read on the way home from work on the train, but I fall asleep then, too!

I haven't worked out today yet. I was feeling really icky yesterday. Not really sick, just extremely exhausted. So, I slept in today (till 7:00am!) and am planning to do a cardio coach during my lunch. Imax2 is scheduled on the rotation, but I did that Saturday.

Everyone have a great day!

Edited: Hi Vilma! We were posting at the same time. Wow, 9:40!!?? I haven't slept in that late since, well, probably college!

Joanne

I think Squeeze Stronger works great with the kettlebells, Vilma. I've had a couple of email exchanges with Tracy and she bills her workouts as circuits -- my heart rate doesn't get up very high in stronger, but overall, it is a good calorie burner for weights! I can't put my finger on why, but the first time I did it I felt like it would be a really good compliment to the kbells.

Chris, I'm always fearful of encouraging people to buy workouts because I'm afraid they won't like them the way I do, but I really do feel sq stronger works you in a different way than Cathe -- I do think you would like it (and yet I'm fearful, too -- lol).

I'm a slow reader, too, and I used to fall asleep riding on the train when I took it to work, Joanne! That brings back memories.... it was always a nice little nap...... :)

Ok, we're off to costco (for more zipfizz!) and then to madagascar 2......

-Beth

Hello again...:)

Chris- great workout today!! PS is killer...I definitely have DOMS from chest yesterday and will probably have them in my back tomorrow!

Joanne- Thanks for the words of encouragement!

I'm not one too harp on problems too terribly long....(maybe I'm just in denial..lol)

The rotation I'm doing is FF's One body part/day II...I can tell I'm going to love it and get some results!

Have a great day!

Hi ladies..

Beth: I didn't even think about the holiday for kids until this afternoon...Hope your kids enjoyed the day off with the movie..My kids want to see that one too.

Chris: We don't take lots of breaks...I like to keep working and get our corework done in the spring. We have a certain number of lesson days for our coursework..The summer we spend doing workbooks and we do take breaks then. Also when we go on vacations. We go when we want to and we don't have to wait for school to be out or on vacation..Not too many DOMS this week. I had LOTS last week. That usually is how it goes for me. The first week of a rotation I am so sore and then I am ok..I do feel some. I can tell I worked out!!HAHA

Checking back in with itread 18 - 40 minutes. I was a bit bummed, I was thinking it was an interval workout but I had it mixed up with intread 21. Oh well. It was more steady state, but that's OK. I decided I'm going to mix up the rotation a bit. Do all my upper body on one day instead of as a split. Then on the other upper body day I can do Squeeze. So tomorrow I'm either going to do MM upper body or something else.

Beth, hope you are enjoying Costco! I love that place, but always spend way too much money.

Kathy, I'm sure it's nice not to be constricted by a school schedule.

Pinny, wow, I checked out that rotation and it looks tough!!

I'm in dire need of a new car. Mine is just falling apart. It's been pretty much useless for the last two months, so we've been a one-car family and it's just not working out! I'm hoping I can convince DH to go look at cars tonight. We can't afford new, but I want something that will last more than two years! Wish me luck!

Joanne

Hey again!

Ok.... I spent $44 for "just bananas and cat food"! Actually , my 7 yr old wanted to go to their "daycare" to make me a craft, so I was forced to do MORE shopping than i had wanted to. I came back and raked leaves for an hour (my 2 other boys jumped in them!) I have a feeling my shoulders/arms/back are going to be feeling that tomorrow...

Vilma: 9:40??? OMG..I'm not so sure I COULD sleep until that time! But I am jealous!

Joanne: (and Beth). I ended up watching a video clip of Squeeze Stronger. Wow! it looks tough but in a different way! I'm very intrigued! I wondered one thing though, do you need a body bar for the workout? Sorry your CC was messed up. But you did work out, and you DID just do an interval, so it's ok!! Good luck convincing hubby for a new car! What are you looking for? We got a new one this year, a Honda Civic. It's awesome on gas and so we use it all the time, unless we ALL go somewhere as a family, and then we use the SUV.

Iris: Oh my! For some reason I had looked at that rotation recently. It looks like tough stuff, but pretty cool and different. Looking forward to hearing how you do!

Kathy
: Sounds like a great plan for schooling. that has got to be a HUGE perk in that you can take vacations whenever you want to , just re-arrange your teaching schedule.

Sipping on yet another new tea, Orange & Spice. I like it! I've been so into teas lately. I must be getting old....

Hey Chris. No car shopping tonight. :( DH is sleeping. I'd like to get some small type of SUV, like a Jeep Liberty. Or a Chrysler Pacifica, which seats six. We have a huge Suburban for family trips, but it has 150,000 miles. No, you don't need a body bar for Squeeze Stronger. In fact, you're supposed to use an unweighted bar. I used the bar from my barbell minus the plates. Not to enable you or anything. ;) $44 isn't bad - I'm lucky to get out of there under $100!

"See" you all tomorrow...

Joanne

Chris, hopefully you'll see this..... you don't need any special body bar for squeeze stronger.... I take the plates off my barbell and use that, but I have also thought about using my kids' karate staff. A broom would work (though you might get dust bunnies in your hair the way she waves it around!).... you don't really need anything special.

Madagascar 2 was really funny -- I laughed throughout and I'm the one who usually takes kids movies as an opportunity for a nap!

Joanne, it takes research and patience, but I'll bet you can find a decent used car.
