Good Monday Morning Ladies!

iTread 2/40 on the agenda for today

Sheesh its cold here this morning 32 degrees and frosty windshield to scrap here soon.

BTW I just saw the news and not one tornado hit Friday going into Saturday morning but two!

Very, very close to my area within a 50 -60 miles radius and two deaths were caused :(



Anyways all is well here for now.

Hi Vilma, and everyone! I woke up at 2am and never could fall back asleep, so finally got up and did my workout and it's what about 5:30am and I am done. :) No going back to sleep for me now -- when I get tired today I will just have to think about Chris and her grueling weekend schedule.

I swung the kettlebell this morning -- lots of swings with my heavy bell which seems not so heavy anymore! and some bottoms up swings with the light bell. Then I tacked on the squeeze stronger waist and abs work. A good workout given the tossing and turning that went on before it.

Yikes about the tornadoes, Vilma! Glad they weren't any closer.

Today is PUB Chest 2x's and BM1 Chest followed by a KPC pre-mix...I'm loving this rotation...doms everyday somewhere different...:cool:

vilma- that is so scary about the tornado's....I can't believe this crazy weather.....

Vilma, yikes, glad the tornadoes weren't any closer. It's about the same temperature here and it's not going to get better for quite awhile. :( I'm sure snow will be coming soon. That's OK, the kids love it.

Beth, wow, that's an early morning! Maybe you can sneak in a nap sometime.

Ivy, that does sound like a tough rotation!

We had a great time at the waterpark. The kids loved it. We really needed some quality family time together. It was cool - Caitlyn has never been comfortable with the water, but she really took to it this time and was almost swimming on her own. She had a blast. I just wish I had brought the camera, lots of good photo ops.

I did Squeeze Stronger before we left Saturday morning and today was Bootcamp from 4DS with 200 walking lunges. Chris, you were right about those lunges! I think I'll be feeling them later.

Hi all! Well, I learned that after almost two weeks of rest Imax2 feels harder than it did before. I had to cheat on a lot of blasts. The 30 minute run I did later almost felt fantastic after the way I had to push on Imax2. Just gotta bring the cardio conditioning up.

Today, I am taking an easy day of work so I'm going to spend sometime at the school gym. My goal is 90 minutes of workout activity for the next three weeks...we'll see if I can stick to it.

Vilma -- that's terrible about the tornados. The fires that are all around me have been just out and right depressing me too.

Beth -- I couldn't sleep either! Just woke up and stayed in bed to at least give my body rest. Good for you for working out.

Iris -- sounds like a great workout. Have fun!

Btw, I'm going to drop by Costco either tonight or tomorrow -- which Zipfizz should I get? :) The coupon applies to a variety of them...

Good Day!

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! Mine was OK. I ended up getting sick Friday night:confused:, then got worse Saturday morning and started to feel better Saturday night. Today I feel great and I did CTX All Step and it was awesome:eek:! I really like the step combo’s on CTX. I think CTX is awesome.

Vilma: It’s chili here in Florida today! Have fun with Itread. I’m glad the tornado didn’t reach your area, but so sad for those people who lost their lives because of the Tornadoes:(.

Beth: WTG on your workout today! I really am going to check out and buy one Kettlebell maybe in December. What’s the best weight to start on a Kettlebell? Does it matter:eek:?

Iris: WOW! Your combo of workout sounds awesome! Have fun working out!!:D

Joanne: I’m glad to hear you guys had fun at the water park! WTG on your workouts!! I can’t wait to buy Squeeze Stronger!:cool:

Hottie: WTG on Imax 2. The same happened to me when I took a week off. It’s amazing what a rest week can do to your body, but then you will get back to where you left off. :cool:

Hottie, the zipfizz I got at costco came in a variety pack -- no flavor choice to be made. I think I prefer citrus best -- it's the least strong, in my opinion, but they're all ok.

Ivy, I think it's recommended that most women start out with an 8kg kettlebell. That's my lighter one. It's definitely a new and different experience, but I am starting to feel like I want to do pyramid or 4DS or something this week. We'll see.......

Thanks Beth! Will check online and at Target to see how much an 8lb Kettlebell cost. I think that will be my Christmas present for me from me, lol. I know DH doesn't want to buy me anything workout as he thinks I have enough:eek:, lol.

Good news was that I didn't need the Zipfizz last night at work! I was too damn busy. Be careful what you wish for is the lesson learned... :eek:

Yes, my schedule is messed up bigger time today. Got to bed at 9AM and then I got up at 12:30PM. I just felt like I was wasting time laying in bed when I had so much to do.

I got my workout in: GS: BSB. I wish I had time for cardio..

As it is I have to run , get my shower in, start some laundry, and then take the boys to CCD. Come home and whip up supper... :eek: :eek: :eek:

I think I'm ready to go back to bed now!

I'll BBL for personals....
 
Ivy.... just want to clarify.... don't get an 8 pound kettlebell -- I think with the workouts you do that would be too light. You probably want to start with an 8kg, which is 17.6 pounds. They are mostly talked about in kgs instead of pounds.

Ohh!! I didn't know that. Thanks so much for letting me know. I think that I should get it at the store then, then online. WOW! But, 17.6 lbs is a lot, LOL!! I can't even lift 15 lb dumbells:eek:, lol!
 
Hey everyone..

Just finished up with Gym style legs. We had a family field trip day today. We went to the Smithsonian Air and space museum..We had such a great time!!

Iris: That rotation sounds very cool! It sounds like it REALLY works that one body part good!

Vilma: I read about those tornados too. We had a few "watches" in Mass. but nothing came of it as far as I know. Very strange weather. It was close to 70 on Saturday, and then in the 20's on Sunday morning!

Joanne: Cool you had a good time this weekend! I know, we rarely have good family time out too. It always feel good to do, but hard to jump out of the rut you sometimes get in... OMG..wait until you feel your legs tomorrow!! WOO HOO! Good stuff! And I always enjoy 4DS: BC. I feel like a kid playing when i do it. In fact, my 7 year old joined me on Saturday. he was cute. After the "suicides" he quit. Told me he needed to rest, for a long time!

Hottie: Oh yeah, I'm the same way. after a rest week, I lose "it" too But I think that's good. It takes LESS to challenge our body again. Instead of having to push it above and beyond every time, or your body getting used to the workouts. Hope your gym time went well today! I liked the lemonade Zipfizz. The berry one was too strong. ...

Ivy: sorry you got sick! But happy you're better. I've been waiting for my reward for amazon.com to purchase CTX. Thanks for giving it rave reviews, I am sometimes torn on whether I'd like it or not.

Kathy: I'm so not looking forward to GS: LEGS tomorrow. I remember how it left me last time! :confused: Let me know how you feel tomorrow! The field trip sounds like a blast!!

Hi All...its been a very very long day, I have a tween who is pmsing and doing dishes grumbling as she goes along

Oldest DD is at work and I'm really concerned about her as her bf is gone this week getting ready to deploy to Iraq in under 2 weeks. He's in the national guard but his company will be attached to an Army unit. He'll be gone for 10 months but his job is very risky - check point grenade launcher :( I am very worried; she said last night that she knows he may die over there and its very true but I'm praying he''l come home safe, sane and in one piece but mostly alive.

I'm also feeling water logged as I was very bad in my eating today. DH went to Sam's club and picked up a Pumpkin CheeseCake factory box. I had 2 slices which blew my points out the window and it has been devoured by the rest of the family.

It was sooo yummy but I have no control over trigger foods such as that - that was my breakfast, lunch and dinner lol.

Finished iTread 2/40 earlier this morning and I had forgotten how that type of music gives a skip in my step - great urban club music which had me pushing hard.

I notice when I do my iTreads I go faster and harder with Grace than with Sean if thats even imaginable because her number cues are high whereas Coach Sean doesn't give you numbers and I tend to stay for the most part in my higher comfort zones if that makes sense.

Drat! I need to go as my youngest is having a total meltdown in the flippin kitchen ugh!

Chris: I’m glad I’m feeling much better now. I hate feeling like I can’t do nothing and on top of it feeling like crap! I really like CTX and I’m sure you will too! To me it was worth the $$. Can’t wait to hear what you think of it.

Vilma: I’ll keep your DD’s boyfriend in my prayer. I know it must be so hard for her. It is scary when they have to go over there. I pray that he will always be safe and come back home to his family and your dd safe and sound. WTG on your workout today!
