in the spirit of the season I'd just like to thank all you guys for the advice, support, wealth of information and many laughs you've given me over the past year. Warm wishes to all of you for a wonderful holiday season and a fantastic and FIT 2002!!!

And special thanks to Cathe and SNM for providing these forums which have become such an important part of my life!

Fa la la la la!!!! :)

You are no sap! I feel the same way! Many, many times this forum has "come to the rescue" for me, and I am so glad to know that whether I have a fitness question, nutrition question, or just need to vent or an ear to listen, that you guys are there. It sounds crazy, but one day my husband said to me as I was posting, "talking to your Cathe friends?", and I said, "yeah", and then I realized, I don't know these people, yet they DO feel like friends!
So, if you're a sap, count me as one too, cause I rely on this forum daily for support, and I'm soooo glad you guys are there!

Happy Holidays to all, Donna

If you are a sap then I am too!

I had to reregister after about 3 weeks of not being able to post and was starting to go into withdrawal, just knowing I couldn't 'talk' to anybody if I wanted to.

I second everything you said. This is a great place to come.

Fa la la la la from me too! Susan 54 http://www.smilies-world.de/Smilies/Smilies_klein/sprite10.gif[/img]

You can count this sap in too! The people here are absolutely the best. I have been on many forums this year, this is the only one I care about & come back to. Thanks everybody, for all the caring & good advice I've received.

RE: Hey Ruth!

Yes Ruth.....how is your ankle? I believe you said you injured it some time back. Hope it recovers quickly if that is the reason you haven't been here.

Here's us rooting for you http://www.smilies-world.de/Smilies/Usersmilies/Rafael/03/OLA.gif[/img]

I just discovered how to use the smilies...can you tell?

RE: Hey Ruth!

Hi Debbie!

I've missed you & everyone SO MUCH!! I've been having trouble with my computer off & on for about a month now. For awhile, I thought it was fixed but it went bad again. I finally had to get a real professional involved, and I still cannot get into my normal account, therefore I cannot even read my emails. I had to start a new account until it's fixed. (If ever).
I have wanted for weeks now to thank you for your last email (or at least the last one I got) because as always you made me feel SO GOOD! But I couldn't write you back because I couldn't send any email even on this account, although I am supposed to be able to by tomorrow.
Hope you & yours are doing well, it would seem so from reading the forum. Is Kennedy in college yet? LOL

RE: Hey Ruth!

Hi Susan,

Thank you for the cheering section! I loved it! I'm also jealous, as I've never been able to figure out how to use them.

It's so nice of you to ask about my ankle. It's become sort of a nightmare! When I saw the Dr. way back when, he said it would be healed in 6 weeks. It's been about 9 weeks now, & I seem to have hit a healing plateau. It just doesn't seem to improve any more. If I'm not really careful, I can start it hurting again pretty badly.

However...I got sick & tired of the whole thing, & I hated doing low impact cardio, so I started (gingerly) doing some of the high impact stuff in Cathe's step routines. So far, it hasn't seemed to make it any worse.

Hope things are going well with you? What's up in your life?

RE: Hey Ruth!

Glad you are able to get back to some workouts, but taking it easy on yourself. :)

Boy....9 weeks....I figured it had been a while but I hadn't figured on that long! It's hard to take it easy when we so much want to throw ourselves into aerobic workouts (or strength for that matter).

I had been signing in on the weekly check in but had to give up. I really need to get stall mats to cover my floor. I had been living with 'I'm going to get them' as if that was really having them and now I have finally realized it is no good for my knees or back, and I finally have a full sized step too!

I tried Still Jumpin' http://www.smilies-world.de/Smilies/Smilies_klein/dance1.gif[/img] yesterday and I don't think it did my back any good, so I think I will stick with weights and flexibility till I get the mats.

Do keep us posted on how you are doing.....and as for the smilies, the only site I know is http://www.smilies-world.de/
Smileys.htm.....They have lots of cute ones and I know there must be lots of other sites too!

Take care....Susan54 http://www.smilies-world.de/Smilies/Smilies_klein/sprite10.gif[/img]
