Not that anyone needs another DVD right now but...

SloMo is my current favorite weight work by Amy. I mainly use APX premixes instead of doing the whole two hours which may have been Amy's intention...to give multiple options. I like the multi-joint weight work that APX opens up with. I'm interested in her a lot of her fall line up but if I order CLX (I have Tivo set to record the infomercial this Wed. morning) I *may* have to give up my planned Amy Bento preorder depending on how fast I can build up my fitness fund. I have all of Amy's workouts (I lack BC) and they are hands down, some of my favorites. Her step workouts are fun, fun, fun!

I thought I might slip this in just in case you don't know this already. I didn't know this for the longest time! In Amy's Advanced Step Challenge 2 she snuck in two circuit premixes with Slo Mo strength mixed in with the step workout! (Select the NRG Mixes and go to the third page: you'll get Circuit NRG-1, 88 min and Circuit NRG-2, 87min) It's awesome!! And she also snuck in alot of her Slo Mo workout after the credits!! I've never seen any instructor do anything like this before!! She is so sweet and generous!!

ok, what do you guys think of Amy's kickboxing?

In the Ring is hands down one of my favorite workouts. The music is pumpuing, the choreography is fun, and I love, love, love the med ball intervals. It's a real sweatfest and absolute fun! It is not serious, straight up kickboxing. Amy's kickboxing is more hi/lo with kickbox flavor which I personally love!

Rumble was more serious kickboxing and I hated it...traded it away. A lot of people liked it though, but I could get my heart rate up or get it to stay up the few times it started to get up. There is also a bag section in there, which can be done without the bag. I thought this one moved WAY too slow for my taste.

Kickbox Extreme is FUN! It moves fast and is a bit tricker to pick up on in parts then her others but another motivating sweatfest for sure!

You can tell Amy enjoys herself and her music is motivating. Amy delivers a tough but fun workout!

As for her background exercisers and comparing them to Cathe's crew...I enjoy working out to a variety of instructors/people and everyone has a different body type so I really am not one to look and criticize too much. It just doesn't register on my radar and I appreciate that everyone is different (o.k. I have said in the past that I'd like to see Jari Love eat a cheeseburger).

Amy is one of my favorite instructors...right up there with Cathe in my opinion.

I really enjoy the circuit premixes and she put the APX workout on the end of one of her other workouts also.

FYI...Toni just found out she was pregnant right before Rumble was filmed by the way. There was another workout where Toni was pregnant as well but I don't remember which one (maybe HLX?). Amy has so much energy and I'm so busy sweating and working out that I never really even notice the background exercisers.

I tried all of APX, as is, once. It darn near did me in. I LOVE the way Amy works the back muscles. APX and Slo Mo have some of my very favorite back work. I wish she worked the chest a bit harder (but I have Cathe for that!) but her back work is awesome. I cannot believe the weights she uses in Slo Mo legs - my upper body fatigues way faster than my lower body during that workout.

My all-time favorite Amy workout is Advanced Step Challenge 2. I also love, love, love Hi/Lo Dome Challenge, Hi/Lo Knockout, and Advanced Step Challenge 3. I'm not crazy about Hi/Lo Xtreme - I think that's because it takes up so much space.

I'm looking forward to her 2009 line up.

I have mixed feelings about Amy's KB. I love ITR & Rumble--they're pretty low impact, & more serious martial arts. They're probably my very favorite KB w/os, along w/Tracey's Strike Zone & KBSF. But I hate KBX & HLKO. They're extremely high impact, very choreographed & more hi/lo than kickbox IMO.

AND the low impact KB burns as much, if not more cals than the high impact.

I might be a little weird here (what else is new) but I seem to like the opposite of most people when it comes to Amy's kickboxing. I do not like CIA Hi/Lo Knockout (too much hi/lo, not enough knockout). I also don't much care for Kickbox Extreme. It moves too fast and feels more "hi/lo" to me. However, I LOVE In The Ring and Rumble. For me, In the Ring is fast moving but not hard to follow. Rumble is slow moving but still gets my heart rate up. I seem to do well with "fighting workouts." I love Tracey Staehle's StrikeZone...another one that got mixed reviews.

Thanks Carrie... will definately try a few and see how I "relate" to her! Everyone has their own thing, and maybe she will be and maybe she won't be, but it never hurts to try! I'm just glad that Netflix has so many to select from before you buy!
