No, The Treadmill Isn't also a Shoe Buffer

I have been a member of several gyms/fitness centers and I wouldn't trust the first one of any of the "Personal Trainers" I've met to give me the time of day much less advice on my workout! Maybe it's because I have never had a membership at any "high end" places where the PTs actually have college degrees in the field AND legitimate certifications from respected organizations. It's always been mostly kids working their way through college, etc. I've never met anyone like the PTs they interviewed in that article who know what questions to ask first before launching into their ideas of what my workout or form should be.

I'm also hyper-critical of others because I DO have a college degree in the field and several certifications. I just can't make a living at it, so I have other degrees I am utilizing, sort of. :eek::eek:

I do wish they would work with their clientele more closely though. That's part of the reason I don't go to gyms anymore. It drives me crazy to see some of the things people do to themselves! I can't stand it, so I'm better off at home, alone to work out.
