Well, don't ask me about eating again today either x( x(

But I did workout with wts finally today. I missed my upper body on Friday. Today was heavy legs so I mainly focused on legs but also benched. Of course I used my new equipment. I was shocked at what I could do today. With squats I warmed up 45,55,65 pounds each 5 reps then went up to 80# x 5 reps, 90# x 5 reps, 95# x 5 reps, 97.5 pounds x 5 reps and then 100# x 5 reps :eek: That's a personal record (PR) With benching I warmed up with DBs (2)20 x5, (2)25 x5 (2) 30 x5 and then with BB 75 x5, 80x5, 82.5 x5, 85 2x5 (2 sets of 5 reps), 87.5 3 reps. Remember, I was stuck at 77.5 for the longest time with my bench. Then I did RDLS up to 110# for 6 reps. I was kinda leary about all this increase in weight. So I unloaded my new BB and weighed it to make sure it really weighed 20# and it did!!! Sorry to go on and on, but I am so excited about these numbers!! Now though, I am thinking tomorrow is cardio and I am not sure if I'll be walking }(

This evening I did a 40 min Yoga for stress relief. It felt good to really focus on my breathing and stretch. I always say I need to do this more often and then go weeks or months with out doing it again. Go figure!!!

What have you ladies been up to this weekend?

I can not believe Jan is almost over. Woooo hooooo!!! That's means most of winter is done. Spring is right around the corner.

Just running in to wave hello mid-day!! I've had one small dove dark chocolate and otherwise have been eating good today. I plan on doing IntervalX tonight. I'm tired just thinking about it. Not too much DOMS yet from yesterdays w/o. But I am feeling it a bit.

Howdy ladies! :) Well, my plans for a 2 week rotation have been on halt for two days (yesterday and today) because this is my second day with a migraine. A couple of minutes ago I ate something light so I can take my meds but I'm still waiting for them to kick in and I decided to rest again today. I'm restarting the rotation again with Volume 5 from The Firm tomorrow.

Catherine - Don't feel too bad about your eating, mine has been awful these past few days as well. Yum, dark chocolate. My fave is Hershey's special dark.

Affirm - What are you up to this week?
 
Rose, you poor thing you just don't seem to get a break :( Sings "there's always tomorrow" from Annie :D Oh and you must try Girhadelli's intense dark chocolate :p It's my special treat to myself!!! It's 72% cocoa YUMMY!

I did Interval X this evening. I thought I was doing well after that heavy wt session yesterday. Well, after IX I sat down and tried to get back up :eek: Need I say more? Also, I have a bit of DOMS in my chest. I don't remember the last time I had chest DOMS.

Rest day #3 for me. x( I'm not sleeping enough and when I finally fall asleep I get terrible nightmares. I had a nightmare last night where I was being kidnapped and taken to a foreign country and one of my friends was the one who sold me to the kidnapper... and I was trying to escape...I'm telling you it was a freaking movie that nightmare. Almost every time I watch Nancy Grace on CNN's Headline News I get nightmares. Before I went to bed they were talking about a serial rapist.:eek: I want to know what's going on, but at the same time when I watch (it's not every day) I get nightmares. Then I get migraines and fatigue because I'm sleep deprived. My eating hasn't been that bad though. I'm trying to eat well, but I've had some treats in moderation. Oh and by the way, my back is getting better. I can move a lot better now. I'm still waiting for my back stretcher but I've been doing the same type of stretch that the doctor talked to me about using my stability ball (10 mins twice a day every day) and it seems like it's helping me gain back some flexibility. Today my back felt a lot better.

Catherine - I don't know how am I going to survive on Valentine's day without my chocolates. I can't have just one! They're on sale everywhere. Are you doing P90X workouts to get ready for STS? I'm still taking it very slow then I'll do a PS rotation and a GS rotation to get ready.

Affirm - You're probably very busy with work and the kids. I hope you find a little bit of time for yourself.
 
Rose, how horrible that you get such nightmares :eek: Sleep is so important and I think you are right to rest if you are not sleeping well. Glad to hear that your back is better!!

I had my dark chocolate again today :p

I am mixing up my workouts. On some days (heavy days) I do my own thing. Then I am mixing in P90X, P90X+ and Cathe on the other days. It seems to be working well. I just can not seem to be consistent with ab work though x( Tonight I did KenpoX+. I really like this one better than KenpoX. I also did 4DS KB abs. Yes, I did ab work:D

I still here ladies. Been kind of busy, but did manage a 40 minute treadmill today. Eating has been pretty good the last few days.

Rose, migraines are truly nightmare. I hope you are doing better.

Fitfairy, why did you remind me that V-Day is around the corner. I feel like I just got over the holiday sweets. YIKES!!
 
I had such a good day today. I started my rotation again with Firm Vol 5 and I ate pretty clean. I went to my parent's house and they had fudge pops in the freezer. When I read the label they were 80 cals each and 0.5 g of fat, 3g of protein, 3g of fiber, and 10% of calcium so I had to have one! That was my treat for the day. I got my paycheck today and I finally completed the $$$ for STS (I needed $50) so I will be ordering it pretty soon woo hoo. It's about time, I've been saving since October.

Affirm - A 40 min workout on the treadmill is pretty good. I've always wanted one (and a spinning bike), but I need a bigger place first.

Catherine - Are you using the new squat rack? Do you like it? I need to know what you think.

Tomorrow I'll do a cardio only workout, probably LM, but not on an 8" step as I normally do it. We'll see.

Wow January is pretty much gone ladies!

I walked on the treadmill again today. Eating has been pretty good this week. I had a piece of "treasurers" chocolate with caramel tonight.
 
Hellos ladies. I had a stomach bug that started Wed afternoon and took off work yesterday. So I had an unscheduled rest day Wed (thurs is my normal rest day) I am feeling better today. I will do P90X+ total body later today.

Rose, glad you are doing so well and working out with modifications.

I've really only used the squat/bench one time. It was a bit awkward at first, but I really like it. I was able to work my way up to squating 100 lbs x 5 reps for my last set. I was able to bench 87.5 pounds. I think I posted that above. So I guess I'll see on Sunday if I am able to consistently squat those numbers or do better :D

This is too funny!! I took my mom to lunch at my favorite local restaurant and this guy walks in. I think to myself that looks like the guy from Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. Guess what, it was!! It was Carson Kressley. I know he's not a huge celebrity and I'm not all ga-ga over it or anything. It just seems like an odd thing to happen in a little ole town in KY!!

I got my back stretcher today and used it once. It's pretty easy at level 1 but I'll stay there for a couple of weeks before going up to level 2 just in case. My mom turned 70 today yikes. I was kind of sad because she didn't want to go out or do anything. It's just another day for her. I'm like that too. I guess I get it from her. Today at work I was thinking that 29 years ago my mom was pregnant with me at 40 (it was a big deal back then to be pregnant at 40; it's more common now). Who knows what was she thinking back then. I was her first child. I don't know why, but for some reason that makes me sad. I still haven't done anything huge with my life to make her really proud. I know I got time to do a lot of things, but I just wish I could do them sooner. Ahhh, it's life I guess. I have a great mom and she deserves a lot of things I can't give her right now. Anyway, changing the subject, today I did some cardio. I'm still struggling with my back but at least I can exercise a bit. My diet has been okay, but I ate a chocolate covered marshmallow yesterday (120 cals oh boy!)

Affirm - You keep using that treadmill. That's great exercise and if you can run or do run/walk intervals even better.

Catherine - You are strong! Wow 100 pounds! Congratulations. I still have to go to Walmart, but I'll wait a little bit more. I'm watching Carson on lifetime now. I like his new TV show. I wonder what he was doing in KY, he seems like a NY and Cali guy. Maybe he wanted a break from the big cities.

Rose, believe me your mom is proud of you. Don't forget the things that you do for her and with her that you can not put a $$ sign on. All too often in today's society we equivocate success with material things. But true success is so much more than that. IMO!!
I hope your back stretcher helps you out!!

I am heading to the hospital with my brother this morning. He is having a bulging disc repaired.

I hope to exercise later.

Oh and Carson has some horses here. KY is well known for it's horses. It was kind of funny to see him here though. I kind of wish I'd said something to him.
