It's me again ladies and doing a quick check-in. Today my diet was pretty clean and I managed to do KM's low impact premix. I hope I do better with my workouts and my diet this week. Definitely back to having one cheat day a week because it was working. I hope you both have a nice week.
 
Rose, I hope you don't stress too much about your big decision. Take your time and I know you'll make the right choice.

I am so sore from my lower body workout yesterday. Even my biceps are sore :eek: The only thing I can figure that did that was the front squats. Holding the bar in the front is a challenge for me. I think I was letting the arms hold too much of the bar instead of letting it rest on my delts. Anyway,..... I did 4ds double cardio this morning and chinups. Eating has been ok.

Affirm, is the basement done??

Hi ladies. Today I didn't exercise. I came home from work and I'm a little bit tired. There's this lady that works for company 2 and she is driving me insane with all the calls. I have an important interview tomorrow and she's telling me all the things that I should wear, do, say, read, ugh she's stressing me out. She already told me that on Friday and repeated the same things today on a voicemail and on an email. lol! wow! And I'm a very sharp dresser; I can't imagine how many times she calls someone that's not. I definitely can't exercise tonight because I have to flat iron my hair. I need a haircut and I made an appointment for Friday, in the meantime it is a frizz ball and I have to control it until I actually get it cut. So that's what I have to do and then get ready for the interview tomorrow. My body is a little bit sore from KM yesterday so it's good to rest a bit.

Catherine - I hate to hold the bar like that. It's just very uncomfortable for my arms. However it does relieve the tension on my upper back and traps from holding it in the traditional position so once in a blue moon I hold it like that.

Affirm - My parents bought some furniture and appliances for their house and it definitely takes a lot of time to move the old things around and put the new ones. I will be helping them out this weekend. It takes a lot of time to remodel a room. I hope you're almost done with that.

Holding the bar in front really hits the quads harder and I am trying to really build my legs. Can not believe I just said that :+

I did heavy upper body followed by HIS cardio premix. And I am pooped!

Hi Ladies. Sorry for being on the "outs" lately. I have been sick for the last 4 days. I have some kind of virus with d and v. I feel better now, but still can't manage to eat a normal meal without getting sick yet. My energy is coming back. I manage to go to work yesterday, but was tired by the time I got home.

The basement is not done yet. The sad thing is we turned this into a bigger project. The basement was already almost done. We ended up wanted to re-do and add a few things and re- paint, etc that just turned this into a longer project. It should have been finished last week, but the guy wasn't able to work some days over the last few weeks, so that slowed us down some. I can see the end of the tunnel on this project now.

Rose, how did things go today?? Anxiously waiting a report!!

I am having a weird week. Can not put my finger on anything in particular, but I have been just tired and in a strange mood. I didn't want to workout today. I came home and ate cereal for dinner (I know BAD!!) Then I watched the workout that came with my slanted risers. So I decided to give it a go. It was about 30 mins of step. I rather enjoyed it. Not too intense and different on the slant risers. So I am proud of doing something at least :)

Rose, the suspense is killing me. How are things going with your interviews?

I must admit my eating has absolutely sucked this week!! Exercising is on spot (usually is) I did legs and chinups this evening and a 30 min step routine.

Hey ladies!! Wow, I have been so exhausted this week. But this morning I woke up full of energy!!! What gives?? Oh well, it must be because it's Thurs and I have Fridays off LOL!! I am supposed to rest today, but I may do a light cardio or yoga or stretch. Nothing too exerting. Well, I did think about doing tomorrow's upper body workout this evening. We'll see!!

Sweets are my downfall. For the most part I don't crave them that much, but out of boredom I will grab them.

Hello Everyone,

I am a new recruit of Lori's and will be joining too. I will probably stop by daily to confess or come calling for help! As I told Lori already my 40th birthday is in 64 days and it it my intention to have the truly ripped six pack that has alluded my all these years!

So far today I have done great, no sweets and I have the headache to prove it! Boy I hate withdrawal. Every time I go through this I tell myself never again. But I am not very good at that and that is why I am here!

Well, I think I was a bit over zealous this morning :+ I will be taking my rest day as scheduled LOL!! My day today was so much better. For some reason I've been in a complete funk this week.

I am eating a yummy salad (yippee for me getting my veggies!! I do confess I has 1 mini snickers at work today :( Those darn girls at work insist on keeping candy around. And Lori, I am like you, I don't crave it but will eat it out of boredom.

Hello Ladies!

Thanks to Lori I too am determined to stop indulging in sweets. I am planning a tropical vacation for my 5 year wedding anniversary next February and really want to be in the best shape ever for that! I even convinced my husband to work out and get healthy!
So this is only day one for me but I am proud to say that I resisted cheesecake today!!! It was hard, it is my second favorite dessert after ice cream! So if I can resist that I hope I can do ok with the rest of it :D

Hi ladies and welcome new ladies! :) Today I did a Firm tape. I've been having a lot of cheats these past few days darn it (I have hormones and stress to blame for that). I have to get back on track. I guess the key to success for me is to have only one cheat day a week. I know that when I have one cheat day a week if I get a craving I always say: "no today I have to eat clean it's not my cheat day." That's my tip for resisting cravings. I just have to start doing it again. :p

I followed your thread on 'open disc.'. I haven't been eating sweets since Lent began. I did have a few breakdownsx( But, overall, I am pretty proud of myself.
Tomorrow, at work, we are having a B-day party for a co-worker! And CAKE will be there. That is my fav. I love CAKE!!! OMG!!! Will Power! I might just walk away when everyone is eating it. Out of sight out of mind :)

I came here looking for inspiration this morning and I saw the thread in the OD at the perfect time: my friend and I are doing a no sweet challenge with each other, but both of us are failing miserably at it. I need help!!! x( ;( I think that I am actually eating more sweets now that we are doing the challenge than I was before. Now that they are "forbidden" I want them even more... OMGosh, I have reverted back to being a teenager again!

Morning Ladies,


The more the the merrier! Sounds like we need all the support we can get! I am happy to say that I made it through yesterday!:D One of my biggest obstacles is lately I've been staying up late, after everyone is in bed, to do some paperwork, and this time is killing me. I am snacking for no good reason but perhaps avoiding the paperwork! Anybody have any suggestions on how to get through that?

Hi Linda!

I have a similar problem, evening snacking is hard to curb! What I've been doing lately is drinking lots of green tea or peppermint tea in the evening to distract myself, plus all the liquid does make you feel sort of full ;) If I absolutely need something I try to go for fruit. Of course it hasn't worked everytime and I do give in occassionally, but as long as we try, right?

Today....so far so good. No candy or chocolate yet.

Things are alot better now that I am not working today. There are a few treats around here but atleast there aren't cookies everywhere I look! I have to work tonight though but as long as I keep myself occuipid with my cross stitch I should be a.ok!

Just did my workout. Tried LM with a 8 lbs weight during the blast. It was a pretty good workout but not as hard as I thought it was gonna be. And I did GS legs...I think my legs will be sore in the morning, which means, tomorrows run with be hellish!

Glad to see so many of you :)
I did great all week, and then there was today x(
B-day party at work, I broke down. Pizza and cake - ouch!
I did limit myself to a small piece of cake (justification).
Well - I plan on doing KPC today, can't wait to burn some calories. I might have to throw in some extra bonus at the end.

Lori I hear ya about sore legs. I did legs & ran yesterday, so for todays KPC my kicks might be a little weak. (Though, I do have all that cake energy! )

Tuna salad for dinner tonight.
