*~*~*~No Sweets March 26~*~*~*

Good morning ladies! I hope that everyone is doing great today!

I didn't get around to working out last night because I totally wasted my time lying around. x( I didn't feel well at all yesterday and it had nothing to do with illness. Curse you, junk food! Why is it legal to put all of those chemicals, trans fats, hydrogenated oils and corn syrups into food? I know, it is all about making money, ugh! Anyhoo, today I am REALLY going to do RTTC. ;)

Lori, my headache wasn't from the sugar, it was from all of the salty processed food that was served at my MIL's for Easter. She had prepackaged meatballs, mac n' cheese (which actually was delicious), corn cake, green bean casserole, chicken and noodles etc and no alternatives. (she can't figure out why she has such high blood pressure and cholesterol AND diabetes!) I make everything that we eat from scratch, and everything I cook with comes directly from the ground (or greenhouse ;)) or the animal so my body isn't used to of the stuff I ate all day Sunday.

Mag, I am happy you enjoyed your MIL's food! It isn't right to waste a talent like cooking. ;) It makes it easier to eat clean the rest of the week when you know you have already filled up on the bad stuff, whether it is guilt or satisfaction that drives you. I think that it is innate when you are a mother to try to feed your kids until they pop. I am not good at a lot of things, but darnit, a mother knows how to nurture so that is what we are going to do! :p

Catherine and Mag, did you guys preorder STS? I didn't this time around. I cannot justify the cost of it! And I bulk up way too easily. The only thing that I can really do for definition is endurance or pyramid style weights, which was why I was iffy on the 4DS, but if both of you are having such great results I will have to give that a try!

Linda, what sort of weight work do you do? From this post it must sound like I am looking for a little enabling. :p

Rose, it is great that you are able to lose so quickly! I am actually a little jealous ;)

Hey, where is everybody? Staying away from the bad stuff, I am sure. ;)

Just got done working out and it felt great! I feel like today is going to be a good day; the endorphins are BLAZING through me right now and I am feeling strong! :7 If only I could get my kids to feel the same happiness towards each other...

Morning!!

I managed to get my workout in yesterday despite my laziness. I did LowMax since I was looking for something low impact and I haven't done this one in quite a while. It was a nice change from all the high impact stuff. Tonight I will do Jari's R&C OR 4DS upper body, haven't decided yet. Might have to throw in some abs in there as well

Missy, yes I did preorder STS, I don't know what came over me. At the start I was sure I wasn't going to preorder, then I was, then I wasn't, then I was thinking I would just buy the gym style series instead and in the end I decided to go for STS. I must say that it was the weight work in 4DS that pushed me towards STS. It's really my first time lifting heavier weights and I am enjoying it. I've build muscle and got definition in the upper body quite quickly with 4DS, especially since I started doing the upper body premix (thanks Catherine for the suggestion!) I also really like the step routines in 4DS, mind you I am addicted to step workouts! I found the 4DS step too easy on a 6 inch step so I'm using 8 and works great. The kickbox and bootcamp workouts are not bad either but again that's not my favourite type of workout so I seldom do these. All in all there is a lot of variety in there, so it depends on what you like to do.

How is everyone else doing?

No sweets for me yesterday and so far none today so I'm hanging in there!:7

Hey ladies. I am at home with a migraine today. Which means my eating sucks. I eat horribly when I don't feel well x( I am feeling some better. Was supposed to do legs and chinups today. Will get back on track tomorrow.

Missy, yes I ordered STS. Didn't think twice about it. I have been going heavier with my wts over the last year and am looking forward to changing it up a bit with STS.

Mag, I love 4DS. I am like you with the step routines-can not get enough of them. KB, I've only done once.

Rose, I bet you are so excited about starting your new job!!

Doing great here! Eating's been great. I've even been able to stop the late night snacking! I sure hope the scale moves soon! Oh yeah, yesterday was a cheat day so I had some sprouted bread with dinner, I know not excited but I don't trust myself with the sugar yet! So my cheats right now are just extra carbs!

Missy - Do you know who Fitnessfreak366 is? Well I follow rotation made by her. I did most of her Cathe ones and now I follow ones she designs on her own. These are mainly heavy weights. I love heavy weights, and hate endurance work. Although there is some of that thrown in. I'll post this morning's workout below, so you can see what it looked like.

Rose - Good Luck with the new job!

Awesome w/o Linda!! If you don't mind my asking- what are you doing for your assisted pullups? I have iron woody bands that I just recently got and I love them!! Just curious what others use.

ETA: maybe your biceps were fatigued from your pullups ;) I have that problem sometimes when I up reps or wt on a certain exercise and get to another and have to lighten up.

Catherine - I think we spoke once when I was having my pull up bar made. Anyway I use this home made contraption of bungee cords and a nylon strap that I use. Woody bands were just to costly for me, especially since my mission is to out grow them! As far as my biceps go I was thinking the same thing about the pullups! Especially because at the end of the workout I got on the floor on all fours for some ab work and even though my upper body wasn't really doing much of anything it was shaking a mile a minute! LOL! I should be hurting tomorrow!

Linda, I agree the iron woody bands were expensive, but I have no patience and wanted something so I ordered them lol. I will find some other cruel use for them I am sure }( Sounds like you worked it hard today-good job!!! I always wondered if other people shake like I do when they are done. Sometimes wondered if something was wrong LOL. I'll be stretching and can't do downward dog hardly for shaking :+

I have quite a ways to go! And pullups? I've never tried them and don't know if could even manage one.

I did sign up for a yoga class over the lunch hour once a week for a few weeks. Today was the first class and I quite enjoyed it! So part of my workout for today is done

Hey ladies. Rest day for me today; my legs are killing me. I did a leg workout yesterday and I've been walking and walking all afternoon (in heels) getting some paperwork to start my new job. My diet has been okay except that I had a fig newton (I couldn't resist). I'll try better tomorrow :p

Missy - Junk food is plain evil. It's not just because of the sugar content. Lately I've been trying to check the amount of sodium on everything I eat. There are a lot of healthy food options that are loaded with sodium. Sometimes I measure my body fat % and it is in the normal range and yet I'm heavier and my pants don't fit. Guess what that is? Sodium! When I start checking labels it becomes harder and harder to find things to eat.

Mag - LM is one of my faves! Last week I did the blasts using a med ball. Talk about burning calories!

Catherine - I'm glad you feel better now. Well, I'm excited that I have a new job, but I'm also nervous. It's a huge company and I'll be "the new one". I hate that label. Oh and yes, I shouldn't be saying this but there are a lot of cute guys in there ha ha! Now I have to make time to workout. No excuses though, I can use the company's gym and I hear it's very good. They open at 5 am until midnight and I don't have to pay membership or anything yippee!

Linda - Ok wow! I have to agree. Like Catherine, you are very strong. It is very inspiring to see. I wish I could lift that heavy but my back won't let me (bummer).
