Morning Ladies,

Well, the next few days should be tough with the holiday here! But I am going to do it, because I only have 42 days left! AAAAAAAAHHHHHH! I am thinking about doing a 24 hour fast to perhaps kick start things. Anyone ever try that?

Did CC #5 this morning, was an hour long run, my poor legs are tired. Also tried my arm slings this morning and as I though I was humbled. Did three sets of knee raises 10/5/5 and three sets of twisting knee raises 6/6/8. Got work to do!

Rose - Good Luck with the job!

Affirm - Sorry to see you go, we sure do need all the help we can get!

Have a great day ladies!

Good morning, or should I say afternoon? I just got up, can you believe it? At my doohicky last night I had wine and pecan pie and brownies... all that you need to spell C-O-M-A. Holy cow!, I feel like crud (my daughter is standing over my should and won't *allow me to write "crap" - but I still said it bwahahaha!). Before I even think about doing that again I am writing to tell on myself with you guys.

Linda, Usborne currently has 5 board games: Alphabet Lotto, Dominoes, Ludo, Picture Word Lotto, and Snakes and Ladders. Sound familiar? I haven't tried any of these yet, but some are on my wish list for DS... along w/ about a million other things! :p Our favorites are the discovery books because they are internet linked - DD and DS just can't get enough of them.

Mag, not TMI. It is just enough to encourage me that I am NOT wuss. :p Enjoy your MIL's good cooking! Don't feel guilty about this weekend. It is only once in a... how often do you get to see her? Well, Easter is only once a year. ;)

Affirm, sorry to see you go. Good luck with your strength training and goals for summer! :)

Rose, I hope that transition to the new job is as smooth as possible for you. :D

Lori, where ya' at lazy bones? DS is kinda cute, I guess. :+ Of course he is adorable!

I am not working out today. Or maybe I will. I don't know. I feel so sluggish that I know I should so that I can get moving again... I guess it depends on when the kids get done with their morning work.

TTYL, and Happy Easter if I don't! :7

Hey ladies!! It's been crazy this week. I am happy to report that DN is ok!!!

My workouts are on spot. Eating has been good too except for a small daily indiscretion. Shhhhhhhh don't tell anyone :+ Seriously, I do mean small. So I can live with that!!

Linda, I can not imagine doing a 24 hour fast. Do you take a rest day for that? I am starving if I don't eat every 2-3 hours!!!

Missy, are you out of that COMA yet? I had two beers last night and got a headache. WTH is up with that 2 beers????

Rose, so which job did you go with? I am so excited, because I know that you have wanted this for so long!!! And how is your back doing?

Affirm, so sorry to hear that you are checking out so to speak. Please keep in touch!!! I will miss you :*

Missy - I have Number Lotto, a hand-me-down from a friend so it's probably old. Their stuff sounds really neat, I'll have to check it out!

Catherine - Okay I guess we can let you slide on the indiscretion! Go beyond that and we will have to hunt you down! I am not sure about the 24 hour fast either, I am usually starving every two to three hours too. I am definitely doing it on a rest day. There's no way I could do it on a day I workout, I push way too hard and my body wants fuel those days! Thought maybe it be worth a try, these days are going by way too fast and my deadline will be here before I know it!

Lori - Where are you? You can't hide from us!

Have a great evening!

Linda

Linda, I totally forgot to respond to your question, sorry!
I have done a fast twice for dietary reasons and it really does work if you are wanting to control your eating. I did it to kick off a no sugar fast a couple of years ago and I didn't crave sugar at all and went for almost 6 weeks straight with no cravings (Halloween ruined me). I was starving that day, but I woke up the next morning not even hungry and had a slice of toast and banana for breakfast, had nuts and an orange for snack and ate meals similar in size throughout the day with absolutely no hunger pangs or cravings. I just did yoga for the first couple of days (I know that isn't what you are doing, but I had to take a break from weights because I would get dizzy) and then started back up with cardio and then weights. I felt absolutely fabulous and for the first time it didn't feel like food controlled me. You know what, I should do that again!

So I am here because I want the rest of that pecan pie. I am going to just throw it away. I haven't eaten anything bad today, woohoo!

Catherine - Oh my deadline is simply my 40th birthday, which is May 2nd. I just set the goal that I am going to be in the best shape ever (which I am) but also to have the six pack to show for it! I am tired of the layer of fat that is hiding it. My 40th seemed like as good as date as any, especially since I've been chasing this for years and the sugar has always tripped me up.

Missy - Thanks for the info. Happy to hear it was such a positive experience for you. Sounds like just what I need. i also suffer from IBS so I am sure my body will welcome the break.
