No Sweets March 18 -24

Affirm

Cathlete
Hello Ladies. We are well into March. I started off with Rythmetic Step today minus the bonus part when they combine all the moves. I was just too exhausted by then. I worked out for a total 4 days this past week and had 2 small sweet treats for the whole week so I will say the week was a success.

Last night, I bought some 7 jeans for the first time. My friend told me that I looked great in them. All the more reason to continue to eat clean. I wouldn't want to have spent that much money in a pair of new jeans to not fit in them in a few months, right?

Wow Affirm, I am proud of you for getting back on track so well!! 7 jeans huh? I've tried a few pairs on and can't find any that fit right. I have no butt and they all make it look even flatter!! I have had a lousy weekend as far as eating. But have been on track with my w/o. As a matter of fact I did 30 mins of extra cardio yesterday evening (after doing GSL that morn). Today I did DM cardio blast time saver with B&G stability ball abs. I had a tough time due to the DOMS from yesterday LOL!!

Hey ladies!

I'm also proud of you Affirm. Wear those jeans with pride! When I reach my goal weight I'm going to reward myself with a pair of Lucky jeans.

Today I did Step Blast and PS:CST (about 1:35 total). I did yoga yesterday (which counts as strength and flexibility, but it doesn't count as cardio) so I needed to take advantage of my extra time today.

One observation though, I did a weigh-in on Thursday, as usual, and I was the same weight I've been for about two weeks. After cleaning out my diet on Friday and Saturday, and working out on Friday followed by yoga on Saturday, I did my usual Sunday weigh-in and I lost two pounds (two pounds in two days). What's my explanation for this? I think I lost these pounds in fat weeks ago, but gained them in water. I ate tons of junk food which makes me retain water and after sweating buckets yesterday and cleaning my diet I'm back to the weight I was before ttom. That's what I think anyway. Knowing my body the way I do it doesn't make any sense to lose two pounds of fat in two days. This means that it may be possible after all to lose 2-3 lbs by the end of March if and only if I watch out what I eat and exercise. So those are my two cents for Sunday. :D

I hope you have a great week. Remember to eat clean and make time for exercise (even if it is a short workout). I'm going to focus more and maybe in a couple of months I'll get my pair of Lucky's. :)

Fitfairy, I admire you for doing abs on the stability ball. I have not mastered that yet.

Rose, ttom brings about many changes to the body. I try not to even think about my weight/bloated stomach duirng that time. That week doesn't even count--eliminate it. You are on your way to the 2-3 pound loss for this month.

I just finished Pyramid Upper Body with a part of the ab section. I normally do pyramid down only, but decided to do the entire workout today. I know I will be sore tomorrow.

Affirm, believe me, if you could see me on that ball you would be LOL!! I do lots of wobbling!! I wish I could get back into a morning routine. It would make my life much better. But alas, my behind won't get out of bed!!

Today I did some cardio + PS:BBA. Tomorrow is my scheduled rest day. By the way, my eating has been awesome and I hope it stays that way.

Catherine love that gymnast! lol!

Today was the step portion of the original Body Max. Oh how I hate those hairstyles, but I love that workout.

Rose, way to go on the awesome eating.

Now that it is spring, we will soon be letting more legs and arms show....cleaning eating is what we all need. Let's stay motivated TEAM!

Hello all!!!

I'm kind of new to this forum and I'm considering joining a check-in!!!!! I mainly do cathe's workouts and sometimes I do Turbo jam and yoga... My main goal is to try to eat clean.... I'm so weak when it comes to candy and all kinds of sweats..... I can't stop eating them... that's why this check-in caught my eyes :) I don't really have a lot of weight to lose.. maybe a few pounds and I would like to get really toned :) I wonder if this is the right check-in to join to fit my goals?

Thank you much!!!

Carla

Hey ladies. Today was my scheduled rest day and I went out for dinner so that counts as an early cheat day for me. My dinner was mostly clean but I had some apple juice and a couple of high calorie treats.

I would love to go to the RT, but I'm going back to school to get my master's degree this fall and over here classes start in August so I'll be either starting or just about to start school and not to mention that I'm going to be on a pretty tight budget. The price of the RT is great though, but I'd have another expenses (like the plane ticket, hotel, etc. ) so... not this time. Hopefully next year if she does it again.

Edited to add: Where's Jen? She forgot to check-in this week or is she officially out of town?

Carla! Yes join us! We are a very small group compared to the other check-ins, but we are very focused. We're there for each other when we eat well and exercise, but also when we're down and slacking. We always motivate each other to get back on track. The best thing about this check-in is that at least for me is pretty much a journal or a small blog. I always come back here to write about what I did well and what I didn't. I've also changed a lot since this check-in. I cheat on my diet often (unfortunately), but when eat junk food I eat less than what I used to eat. A lot of things taste awfully sweet or just plain awful. It seems like my palate has changed and that is great because I eat less of those things that are not good for me. I hope you join us. :)

Carla, feel free to join our check in. Like Rose said, we are a very small group who offer support for the good and bad. Jen recently joined the group a few weeks ago. There are 4 of us, so chime in and have fun. We do have occasional treats, but it is nothing like we normally would do. I try have a couple days set aside to enjoy a treat, but within reason. I can actually enjoy a true serving of ice cream, where as before, I would have a bowl and then want more.

Today is my rest day, so I definitely better eat clean today.

Today I'm doing a short cardio + PS: SL&A. My diet has been clean so far.

On a side note, I bought two tops online yesterday from White House/Black Market. I found a site with online discount codes and the one they had for WHBM worked! I was so happy! So I'm waiting for two new tops and I saved $20 with the online code. They had codes for a lot of stores I like. If anybody is curious check out www.savvies.com/sales-events I was skeptical, but the one I tried worked and I can't wait to show off what I got. :) By the way the coupon for WHBM is good till March 25th and you get a $20 discount with a purchase of $80. Just thought I'd share.

I overslept this morning and didn't get to exercise. Breakfast and lunch was good. It was spirit day for my son's school at McDonalds' so I had hamburger and fries and an ice cream cone. Not good...for dinner. Hopefully things will be better on Friday and I definitely need to get in a workout.

Hi there ladies! I've been busy too, but I made time to do IMax 3 (intervals 6-10 premix) and I gave it 200%. Tomorrow I'm going to do yoga. My eating has been surprisingly clean and my Thursday weigh-in was successful (lost a couple of ounces, not much but at least it's something). I have to keep doing what I've been doing this week to reach my weight loss goal for the month.

Rose, I can't even do IMAX 3 at 75%. Like fitfairy, I am not sure why I didn't sell it. It is just too high impact. I think I have done the workout in intervals about 3 times. I rarely do the entire IMAX 2, but I know that I am able to do it.
