No sweets last week of March

Here we go ladies! I hope we keep doing the check-ins because they help me a lot.

Today I felt tired in the morning so I couldn't workout, but I took a nap and by late afternoon I had tons of energy. My walk/jog turned into a jog/run and then I got back and did some legwork and Bootcamp's core only premix. Whoa mamma! I feel great. My diet has been good too, but I have to be realistic. We got one week left for March and I'll probably lose about a pound (not even two). I'll give you the verdict next Sunday. I hope you have an awesome week. I'm going to be busy because it's the last week before my Easter vacation, but I can't wait for the week to be over. I already have a CTX rotation planned which I'm going to do for about 3 weeks or so. :) So how are you doing?
 
I did KPC today and my diet has been great. Too late to make up for all my mistakes in March, but I hope I can keep it clean for April.

Catherine, I always do strength based workouts for a long time, then I do endurance based workouts (like CTX, the Pyramids, etc.) for 2-3 weeks before I go back again to strength based workouts. I don't believe in rest weeks (although every 6 months or so I take a couple of days off to do yoga for about 2-3 days; not a whole week though) so that's what I do to break plateaus. My CTX rotation doesn't have yoga and it's 6 days of working out plus one rest day. Let me know if you're curious and I'll post it next time. :)

Catherine this is the CTX rotation I'm starting next week (for 2-3 weeks; I'll decide by week 2 if I'm going to do it one more week or if I'm doing something else)


1 All Step (cardio) + LL(legs) + All Step (shoulders)
+ LL (abs and stretch)

2 10-10-10 (cardio) + Step & int (chest) + 10-10-10 (triceps)
+ Step & int (stretch)

3 P.Circuit (cardio *note: they use a barbell and dumbbells for the circuits* and back) + Kickbox (biceps, abs & stretch)

4 Rest (or yoga if I'm out of my mind that day)

5 Same as day 1, but instead of LL (abs and stretch) do All Step (abs and stretch instead)

6 Step & int (cardio and chest) + 10-10-10 (triceps & stretch)

7 Kickbox (cardio) + P.Circuit (back) + Kickbox (biceps) + P.Circuit (abs & stretch)

8 Optional Rest day

*Repeat all over again for week 2 (and 3 if desired)*

As you can see there's cardio every day but the cardio sessions of CTX are around 30 mins including warm-up. All the major muscles are worked twice a week and you never work two big muscles the same day (that's why legs is paired with shoulders, chest with triceps, etc.). You work abs only four days a week and never on two consecutive days. I don't know the total time each day yet. My guess is that the longest days are the ones with LL + AS, but what I'm going to do if I'm busy on a certain day is wake up earlier and do a split. I'd do cardio in the morning before going to work and then a warm-up + weight sections after work. So that's it. I haven't used CTX in a long time. After I'm done with this I'm going to do GS for about 4-6 weeks, but no rotation for that yet.
 
Thanks for posting your rotation Rose. I'm gonna copy it and maybe give it a try. You should check out the Dec 06 rotation it uses the GS and the new w/o That's what I am doing this right now.

Today was GS BSB. This type of lifting just wears me out!! But it feels good!! I've been on track for the last few days and hope it stays that way. I gotta get in shape to meet Cathe in Aug LOL!!

I hope Affirm is doing ok. Where are ya girl??

Hey Catherine. Nice job with KPC (one of my all time favorites). Well my diet was ok, except for that serving of pistachio almond ice cream I had. Today I did a good workout: LM step only premix + PS:BBA.

I think something happened to Affirm. She said the check-in was helping her a lot so I can't imagine she's out, maybe she's just busy.
 
I've been having stomach problems since yesterday so I haven't eaten much. I had a low fat ice cream and I'm pretty sure it had one of those fat substitutes which really messes up my system. I can't have artificial things like that because my body is very sensitive. I had a killer workout planned for today, but I'm switching to yoga instead and I'm doing it at home. Hopefully I feel 100% better tomorrow.
 
Hello Ladies. I am here. My DH was doing yard work earlier this week and damaged the a wire or something to our internet service. We have been busy and haven't bothered to call for it to be fixed yet.
I decided to check in as soon as I arrived for work because I figured everyone was wondering what happened to me. I usually check in right after my work out or after dinner.

Things are going well. It is TTOM so I have had small treats, but within reason. Overall, this month has not been what I wanted it to be so I have to gear up with much more enthusiasm and hope that April will be better.
 
Hey ladies! Affirm, so glad you're checking in again, I was worried too.

Catherine, if there's one thing I learned from the low fat ice cream fiasco is this: stay away from sorbitol. I think I'm better off eating just one scoop of regular ice cream (which is less than a serving) than eating one serving of low fat ice cream. I couldn't do yoga or anything yesterday because...you know...I just couldn't. :7

TTOM for me today too, but surprisingly no PMDD symptoms. I usually get migraines, low back pain, food cravings at the wee hours in the morning, etc. and I got nothing of those. By the way I'm on vacation. Not that I don't have anything to do. Unfortunately there's spring cleaning, and some reading I need to do, but I'm going to see my mom and dad, and my brother and niece, and I'm going to see a couple of friends I haven't seen since last year. Oh and I'll workout like a maniac too. It's just a week and I have to make the most of it. :)
 
Today I did BM2 warm up + step combos 1-3 + stretch. I wanted to do more, but that was more than enough. Today is my first day of TTOM and my energy levels were not as high as they usually are when I exercise. Tomorrow I'm doing yoga and I'll get back on track on Sunday. I'll also know if I lost weight in March on my Sunday weigh-in. Have a nice weekend ladies.
 
Fitfairy, I hope you feel better soon. Rose, I understand the low energy when it is TTOM. That is exactly why I decided to walk on the treadmill today instead of do step. I just didn't feel up to the jumping or lifting weights. Today is my sons first soccer game so I am skipping swim class, so I had to get up and workout which only gives me 3 days and I have been doing 4 this month even though I wanted to get it back up to 5 days. I want to do 5 days because my workouts are short.

Tommorrow is April 1st. Don't get April fooled!
