I hope this week is going to be better for me. Today I did my Sunday weigh-in and I gained 1.6 lbs in a week (I was supposed to lose those not gain them!), but I guess diet plays a huge role, I definitely was having a lot of cravings last week, and I ate more than usual.

Today I am happy to say that my diet has been clean, I have been aware of everything I eat. However I have a sore throat, body aches, and I feel tired. The weather suddenly changed from really hot to rainy and I guess I need a rest day just in case I might get a cold or something like that. My body is asking for rest so I'm going to rest. Tomorrow is a holiday over here so if I go to bed early today, I can wake up early (assuming I feel better) and exercise according to schedule.

So how are you doing ladies?

Hello Rose and Fitfairy. I am back from Spring Break vacation. I hope you ladies had a great week while I was away. My eating wasn't too bad, but not exactly clean either. I did enjoy some treats, but that is what a vacation is about right? I wouldn't say that I gained weight, but I am at the end of what I like my normal range to be, so I definitely have to be attentive to the eating habits.

It has rained all day today. I can't believe I can't put away my winter coat and it is mid April.

Anyway, I am totally exhausted, but wanted to do a quick check in.

Hi gang!! Affirm I agree that vacation is a time to enjoy some treats!! Nothing wrong with that.

Oh Rose, sore throat and body aches- that sounds like what I had a couple of weekends ago  And believe you me it was not fun. I was out of commission for almost 4 days. I hope you feel better

I did B&Gs leg blast premix this morning. Whew that was a toughie. I also did some chinups this afternoon. My eating- well I did have a little bit of ice cream.

Hello there. Wow I am a bit shocked about the Virginia Tech incident. Oh well.

Today I woke up better, but I didn't want to risk getting sick so I worked out early, I did some step (at a lower intensity than usual), and some light weights. My diet has been clean so far. Hopefully tomorrow I can give it 100%.

Hello ladies. Today I channeled Affirm and I woke up one hour earlier so I could exercise first thing in the morning. :) I did step & int (cardio & chest) + 10-10-10 (triceps) + step & int (stretch). Still working on my intensity, but I know I will be back on track in a couple of days.

Rose, did you enjoy the early morning workout. After getting back from vacation, I have been swamped with catching up on things. I have had tons of things to do after work. Therefore, I am getting to bed late. I decided to consider this a week without exercise and start back next week. Because I have to get up early to exercise, when I don't get in bed by 9, it is too hard to get up.

Meanwhile, my eating is okay. I had a sweet treat yesterday, but not bad. I managing to hang in there otherwise.

Hello ladies.

Jennifer, where are you?

Catherine, Vegas baby! Have fun!

Affirm, working out in the morning before doing anything is new to me, but I figured that I was skipping my workouts every Tuesday and Thursday because I get home very late so I tried it on Tuesday and again today and it's something I have to get used to. I have to go to bed early the night before, then wake-up earlier than usual, then exercise on an empty stomach because if I have breakfast then I would have to wait about an hour, hour and a half if I want to workout which is definitely not an option for me. However I feel so accomplished when I'm done because I already got it out of the way. I take a shower, have breakfast, put some make-up on, and I'm out the door. Some people prefer to workout in the morning like you and others in the late afternoon or evening like me, but I'm trying to workout whenever I have the time. If that means getting an hour earlier well that's how it's got to be. I hope you can find the time to workout next week. :)

Yesterday I decided to rest because I didn't sleep well (my neighbor's dogs are driving me insane with all the barking). Today I did cardio + CTX: back and biceps + abs. It was about 1 hour and 10 mins because of the ab routine. I think the morning calls for workouts that are at most 1 hour though. By the way I did a weigh-in and I'm losing weight again. It's about time. Last week I gained 1.6 lbs because my diet was out of control and I didn't workout as usual (too many rest days). Feels good to get back on track. I hope it stays that way.

Rose, I admire how you are being some flexible in getting your workouts in. I have been swamped this week because I had job interviews and I had to get my portfolio together and prepare for the interviews. So I had to use all my extra time for that in the evenings. In addition, my kids still have after school activities so this has just been an odd week. I definitely hope to get back on schedule.

Who is Jennifer? Did she join while I was away last week of have I just forgotten someone?

Hey Affirm. You know Jennifer aka Fitness-Mom. She joined us recently and left for awhile and while you were on vacation she came back again. http://69.0.137.118/dc/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=9&topic_id=48413&mesg_id=48413&page=3

I guess she can't post this week.

Hey and by the way a rest week can't hurt you. You'll come back stronger. I'm going to take a couple of days off when I finish my CTX rotation. When I'm really busy I try to do short sessions (about 20-30 mins) of either cardio, weights, or circuits. When I do that I do them on my own (no DVDs or anything) just whatever pops up in my head. At least it's something. A co-worker of mine does 10 mins during the day for a total of 30 mins when she's busy (10 in the morning, 10 in the lunch hour, 10 in the evening). I'm not that determined, but it's nice to see what others do in order to get their workouts in. Yikes you're going on job interviews. I hope you find a job you really really love. I'm going to be like you in a couple of months. I want a new job and I decided it's time to go find it.

Hey Guys ~ Sorry, I was MIA this week, really busy here at work... :)

How is everyone?

Eating has been good, so far...:) Tomorrow will be end of W2 on Body For Life... YAY :)

Tonight is HIIT WO, probably do Imax 3, 1st 5 intervals, or Blast premix only.

Waiting patiently for my son's results to come back. He has been having a lot of problems w/ his feet and ankles, they ordered him a CT scan to determine what is the root cause of the problem. His podiatrist is saying he has Arthritis, the worst case he saw in a 16- year old. He is very athletic, so I know this is hard on him. His pediatritian (sp?) is saying it's due to his growth, his is already 6'2" 220 pds...pretty big for a 16 year old...everyone at the hospital thought he was already 18 or 19....

Take Care,
I will check in w/ you later

Hey everybody. Yesterday we had our hottest day of the year so far and even with my A/C on I couldn't exercise. It was one of those days where you shower with cold water, wear micro shorts and a tank top to sleep, and drink water every couple of minutes. Today we had some rain and it seems we're getting some more so I'm going to exercise in a couple of minutes.

Jennifer I will keep your son in my prayers. He reminds me of my little brother (not so little anymore he's 27). He grew up to be I think 6'5". When he was 16 his arms were so long that he would stretch them side by side and they were longer than the sofa. He was never told he had arthritis but rather "growing pains". He was taking medication (otc's like tylenol, advil, motrin, aleve, etc.) for pain every once in awhile, but after he stopped growing, the pain went away, and he stopped taking meds.

I'm back. Today I did LL (no abs) + All Step (shoulders, abs, and stretch). Tomorrow is the dreaded Sunday weigh-in. Hopefully I lost something because I've been eating well and I've been trying my hardest to exercise even when I'm short on time. We'll see.

Wow! I can't believe May is right around the corner.
