NO rest day!!

I don't want to take one this week!!!! Is that bad? I'm 5 days from cycle time and feel like I couldn't be more bloated if I tried. I'm supposed to go out tonight but want to stay home instead because I know everything I try to wear will be tight :( WHY is that????? If anything, I haven't been eating as many sweets (I don't THINK) so why all the extra? It feels like I've gained about 10 pounds but I don't dare go near the scale.

I can totally relate to how you feel - as I'm sure most of the women on this site can during that time of the month! Just remember the truth - that you're only feeling this way because of your cycle and it will pass! I love the week after because I feel SO slim and trim again, ha ha. I'm not sure why, but some months I definitely feel much more bloated than not. It could be related to diet, but I'm not sure. DON'T go near the scale, it will lie to you right now and make you feel worse. I do recommend the off day though, you don't want to overtrain and you need to give your muscles time to repair! I say stay home tonight in your comfy elastic band PJ's, LOL - and having a nice relaxing night! :)

You know, I noticed that when I started seriously weight training, the bloating and extra weight gain prior to my period disappeared.

I don't know if it's the weight training itself, the diet changes that came along with it, or both...but it's cool. I'm not totally PMS free, but it's way better than it used to be.
