NJ Housewives..Anyone Loving This??

I have to admit, while I hated the NY version and tolerated the Orange County and Atlanta versions, I LOVE the NJ bee-otch's...now these are my kinda gals. They just seem more real or something. I can relate more to them, than the other women...have no idea why either.

Thoughts? Favorite is Caroline so far, bad ass and matriarch of her family..;)

I haven't seen it yet. I'll have to catch it on a marathon! I love the OC one but didn't like the NY ladies at all.

So far I'm liking it but the NY gals are still my favorite. I couldn't get into the Atlanta version and the OC gals were a little to plastic for me.

I like Theresa and Jacqueline. Danielle (the divorcee) I think is a garden tool, and a little on the manly side. Caroline and Dina are ok.

I love the Housewives of the OC and NYC, but I detest the New Jersey version. It's like watching a cut-rate version of Married to the Mob. Really bad.

i love the nj season, mainly because it is a huge trainwreck. definitely hard not to watch.

i couldnt get into atlanta either. i liked the ny one mainly because most of them worked really hard; they werent just housewives living off their husbands like in the OC show.

I just wanted to say that while I don't watch this show with any normal frequency, my DH came home one night and saw me laying in bed watching it and basically laughed at me. He said "I can't get you to sit down and watch tv with me most of the time but when you DO watch, this is the kind of crap you pick!?" LOL He's obviously not a fan. :p

I was thinking the same thing! The Soprano's on estrogene!

Did anyone find it odd that the dark haired wife with the lovely (NOT) girls paid in cash at the clothing store?

And the house . . a french chateau . .in north N. Jersey . . c'mon!

I'm from NJ and I thought that I would find this show amusing, but so far it hasn't held my interest at all. The main characters are just silly and not entertaining. FWIW, I really only like the NYC housewives and don't care much for the OC or Atlanta shows either. I'll give the NJ housewives a couple more tries and if it doesn't get any better I'm not going to waste my time.

Same thing my DH says about these shows!!! It started with the Atlanta show, then season 2 of the NYC show. I promised myself I would not get sucked into the NJ series, but that all went down the tubes Saturday when I watched the first two episodes. I'm hooked, what a trainwreck and what terrible TV!!! I'll be tuning in tonight for sure!!!

Oh it is a guilty pleasure for sure! Personally I'm loving the show. Yeah, the ladies are a bit extreme, but they live in my area & I know lots of girls just like them. So I'm enjoying it even more than the others (OC was the one I flippin hated--those women were incredibly disturbing & had some serious issues).

I am so hooked! I loved the OC but never really got into the others. I made the mistake of turning it on this weekend and ended up watching all the season's episodes so far and of course now it is set up on my DVR. I'm so ashamed! :(

I can't believe I'm watching this show... Totally a train wreck, but not as much of a train wreck as Atlanta. There's something likeable about most of them, except Danielle, the odd-looking "garden tool" (LOVE that!!).

That dark-haired one with the little girls - is her name Teresa?... She not only spent a ton of cash in the clothing store, but did you see her in the furniture store a few episodes ago? I think she spent $120,000 CASH..... Who carries around cash like that???

Oh well... my guilty pleasure...

I'm afraid to watch it since we're contemplating a potential move to NJ. I just don't want to know. ;)

Oh gosh Lainie, I grew up in NJ, Cathe grew up in NJ, it's really not that scary! :p

I read on Teresa's blog that she didn't plop down $120K that day, it was just a deposit on the furniture. JUST a deposit. Deposits are usually about 30%, right? So it was ONLY about $40K.

I had to tell you guys, we had a huge discussion in the gym locker room last night about this show (yep, now we know what locker room talk is in the ladies' room ;)) & everyone was imitating the accents, I swear I almost cried I was laughing so hard. While most of us Jersey girls don't speak w/that accent, almost all of us can when the urge hits.

BTW, I do a wicked Jill Zarin imitation. I'll share w/you road trippers in about 8 weeks.

My Dad was from Jersey. So naturally I still have Aunts that live there.

No one can say my real name "Dawn" like them. It warms my heart actually. And they say Dawnie - not just Dawn.

I don't think I can even phonetically spell it like they say it . .
