Wii Fit is fun, but like others said it's very easy. I bought the Wii fitness coach and liked it much better. It uses your regular workout equipment: stability ball, step, weights. You don't actually use the wii controller at all....You have a virtual trainer who tracks your progress and creates the workout for you depending on what you choose for the day, can do like 500 different random workouts. It has strength training, yoga, cardio, etc. Nothing fancy, it is an animated trainer after all. You tell it what days of the week and for how long you can commit each day. So if you want a fitness program I'd get the fitness coach. If you want something fun for the kids I'd get the wii fit....Cause doing the hula hoop is hilarious!
