Nike Shox

Hello everyone,
Just wondering if anyone has tried the Nike Shox shoes. I've heard so many good things about these shoes, but with a hefty price tag of 169.99 CAN funds I have to think twice about it. After stepping, hi-loing, kickboxing etc.. to Cathe since 1989 I'm starting to get a few aches and pains in my right heel, so proper footwear is very important to me. Any comments on these shoes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Lyanne

They are AWESOME! My husband ordered a pair for me for V-day.They were alomost 200 by the time I got them.I almost s__t in my clothes b/c I never pay more then 100 for a pair of sneakers.
The only thing about them was that I got a blister on the arch of my foot from them.I eventually had to cut the insoles and now they are fine.
When I blistered my foot but wanted to keep running, I just used another pair of sneakers. It felt like I was pounding the pavement. But when I use the Nike Shox it feels like I am bouncing along the street.
They are well worth the money.I haven't tried them when doing step though.

Are those the ones that look like there are springs in the heels? I have been deabting them because it seems like they would wear down quickly. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Before taking such a pricey pluge, have you tried replacing the insoles? They really help with the cushioning and increase the lifespan of the shoe.

Personally, Nike's cushioning is too soft for my taste - I like the firmer cushioning of Reebok's and they last longer.

yep, those are the ones that look like there are springs in the heel. I don't like paying yo much for sneakers but you know, it is our feet we are talking about. They do alot of work and they deserve to be comfortable.
I also tried insoles but I found that they don't last very long.It only puts off buying a pair of sneakers. But thats just my opinion.

Hi Lori, Did you get the ones with the shox only in the heel portion of the shoe or the ones that have shox from heel to toe? I do step aerobics much more than running, so i'm debating getting the ones with shox throughout, simply for the shox at the top of the shoe for stepping. Thanks Lyanne

I have a pair. It's a very stable runner. It does seem to elevate the heel slightly and they are not very flexible. That's ok for me since I have recurrent Plantar Facsiitis but they take some getting used to. You can get them at discounted prices through outlets and online suppliers. Try http://www.roadrunnersports.com I would recommend going and trying a pair on to get an idea of how they feel.
