I love Nike Shox Rhythmic studio trainers! :7 I wear different shoes for different workouts, and I never knew what to wear for some of Cathe’s workouts like IMAX2. The Nike Shox I was wearing are great for kickboxing, floor aerobics, and anything with impact, but the “gripping” tread does not work well with some of the turning moves on the step. I literally stopped and changes my shoes in the middle of workouts like Circuit Max and Step, Jump, & Pump that have a clear break between the step aerobics and floor aerobics. I also started changing my shoes halfway through IMAX2. I wore my Avia shoes for the first half of the workout with the figure 8s and other pivoting moves. I wore my Nike Shox for the second half of the workout with the ski hops on the floor and the higher impact moves during the next to last interval. Then I found these shoes a few weeks ago at Sports Authority, and I am still excited about them!
The Shox Rhythmic trainers are designed to pivot and spin around on the step or the floor. The bottoms are smooth with a figure 8 pattern. They are pretty white shoes with pink shox and trim. They are actually more feminine looking than my Nike Shox Ride running shoes. The shox are shorter; therefore, the heel is not as elevated. They work beautifully with Cathe’s step choreography. No more changing shoes in the middle of my workout. I played with Rhythmic Step when I first bought these a few weeks ago, and I love the feel of these shoes on the step. It is almost as if these shoes were made for Rhythmic Step!
I have been playing with some of Cathe’s choreography, and I can do ricochets for the first time. I always thought the problem was my weight. It never dawned on me that I needed new shoes. I did Cardio and Weights this morning, and these shoes also make it easier to do the triples around the step or any other move that involves turning or spinning on the step or the floor. I have carpet in my living room, and I am finally free to enjoy the fun moves I love without feeling any pressure on my knees. I feel so light on my feet when I wear these! :7
My feet are narrow, and these fit extremely well. They are cushier than the Shox Ballo studio trainers, but I would not personally wear them for kickboxing or anything that requires more forefoot cushioning. I still prefer my other ones for that. These are perfect for Cathe’s step workouts and Kari Anderson’s dance-oriented floor aerobics with all the spins and twirls. Oh, the little things that thrill me these days! :7
By the way, you can order these through the Nike website and customize your own color combination if you are interested.
Blessings,
Heather B.
