Hello,
I thought I would share my first race with everyone (I hope you don't mind me gloating a bit).
I ran my first race EVER yesterday in over an hour. I have never done anything like this before and I didn't think I could, but it shows what determination, commitment and hard work can do. I have only been exercising to Cathe tapes for about 3 months now, but I signed up for the race over a month ago.
I would like to say thank you to Cathe and her tapes for getting me fit enough to take on a new challegne.
I have to say that I am not naturally sporty, athletic or fitness enthusiaste. I find it a challegne most days to motivate myself to stick a tape in the DVD player and work out. It is very hard to stick to a regimented fitness programme and twice as difficult if you do it on your own. I am very motivated by the people on this forum who devote themselves to exercising every day (sometimes as much as 2 hours a day), I could never do that. Coming here and reading everyone's trial and tribulations, I feel less isolated and more motivated than ever to keep on keeping fit.
The reason I got through my first race on Sunday is all down to you guys.
Thank you very much and, hopefully, the next time you hear from me, I be telling you of my marathon triumphs.
Yen
