Hi all!

I'm new here, but not so new to Cathe's videos. Her step videos whupped by tush into shape back in the day! I also did The FIRM and various other videos. Now.. well, let's just say that I've fallen off of the wagon a bit.. was busy and lazy and.. well, I didn't have a plan. So, here I am, starting fresh, and SO EXCITED to have found this board! I have been browsing the posts, and can I just tell you... reading about the Tank Top Arms rotation and visualizing the results.. I am drooling! But, here's where I could use a bit of advice. I have about 20-30 pounds to shed.. and I'd like to do it time and energy efficiently. I'm mentally ready and willing to do what it takes. I've cleaned up my diet, and I'm looking for a rotation that I can follow. I have Cathe's PS series, as well as MSB, Step Jam, Step Fit, Power Max, IM (Short of breath just thinking about this one. lol), and I'm expanding my Cathe collection. CSX looks very cool! I also have an almost complete collection of The Firm, Tae Bo, KV (Energy Sprint and GWW), and some yoga/pilates videos.

Anyway, I would LOVE to do TTA, but as an intermediate level exerciser now -- would it be too difficult (I could modify it, I suppose), or really the best choice for fat loss? Would I be better off following a fat loss rotation right now? I would really appreciate your input. Thanks in advance, and I look forward to getting to know all of you!

Welcome Michelle!

Glad you could join us! You may want to start with a rotation that has more cardio...not tons, just more than TTR has. Maybe 4 60 minute cardio sessions and 2 total body weight sessions a week. You could do that for 4 weeks (that is about as long as I can handle doing the same video) and then start the TTR, or any other rotation for that matter. Don't think that only cardio will shed fat. Heavy weights does wonders too!

I'm not an expert on all of this so hopefully someone else will answer. Do you have the rotations that KathyH has so graciously put together for us? I can email you mine if not. Even though you don't have all the videos, it can give you ideas, and you can always substitute.

RE: Welcome Michelle!

Andrea, hello!

Thank you so much for the warm welcome and for the advice. And I think your suggestion sounds great! Perhaps the way to go is as you suggested.. Maybe I need to be flexible in choosing my workouts and the intensity, before I can tackle a rotation. I'd like to burn maximum amounts of fat, but I don't want to overtrain either. Hopefully after four weeks, I'll be in good enough shape to put up a fight in any Cathe rotation! And this will give me time to build up my Cathe collection. ::grin::

One other question, if you don't mind.. Is the SLOW and HEAVY series a long way off for an intermediate level exerciser? It sounds like people are getting awesome results, but do I have a long way to go to work up to that level?

I don't have those rotations that you mentioned, but I would really love a copy. My e-mail address is [email protected], and I can't wait to take a look at them!

Again, thank you so much for your input. You made my day! :)
