New to Cathe -- Need opinions. . .

Hi everyone! I have been hearing about Cathe for months now, and everything I've heard has been wonderful. I have been using Joyce Vedral's weight training programs for about a year and have recently started doing BFL (the eating plan and upper body workout, at least, no supplements). At any rate, I've found that since I work out at home variety within the BFL program is going to be limited and I need to be challenged! I specifically want to build up my upper body and whittle down my big behind and thighs. I'm an advanced exerciser and have quite a bit of equipment at home (bench, barbells, plates, dumbbells). I don't have a step but I'm hoping I can improvise with a chair or my bench. I'm considering purchasing the PS series and possibly MIS. What do you all think? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Go for MIS!!

I recently (3 weeks ago) received my order for both of the Maximum Intensity series - wow!! I just finished doing MIS about 10 minutes ago, and I can hardly type because my upper body is shot! I am newer to this type of serious strength training, but I'm sure everyone here is going to tell you that you can't go wrong with either MIS or the PS series. I've only viewed (and tried) PS as it was shown on the Discovery Health Channel. Since you don't have a step, you may want to go for PS. (Or you could check it out on DHC first!)
Maybe I should have used PS for a subject!! Oh well, Good luck and keep us informed!!

I've only seen PS on DHC also,

but I think you should go with the PS Series. I have MIS too and it's awesome!! But I think PS will more for just strength and MIS is strength and endurance. Now that I'm thinking about this, order both! They will compliment each other nicely!! You could do the 3 split routines and then 1 total body every week! Whichever one you choose, you can't go wrong! But IMHO, order BOTH

Let me help you spend your money!

Hi Randi,

If you really want to do it right

..hehehe, go for the PS series for building strength. It is the closest thing to gym style training there is out there. You will love it for building your upper body. As far as whittling your behind and incorporating workouts towards the BFL plan, then you may also want the new Xpress series. It not only has an incredible fat burning leg workout but you get the added bonus of shorter cardios...30mins on average..plus an alternative rotation of endurance strength that will compliment PS when you need a change.
As far as being challenged with a workout...no one comes close to Cathe, she is the queen of intensity.
I honestly believe..as long as you can afford it..and as an advanced exerciser, you can't go wrong with PS and the 6-pack for the goals and rewards you are looking for.

Thanks for all the suggestions!

Thanks so much for replying so quickly. As you probably can tell, I'm just sooo anxious to spend my money! I'm going to order the PS series and MIS. I can't afford the 6 pack just yet but since Christmas is right around the corner I'll have it soon (it's at the top of my wish list)! Since I'm ordering 4 videos and get one free, I'm going to ask for Cardio Kicks (I love kickboxing, and it's hard to find advanced tapes). It'll be an alternate for my longer cardio day.

Thanks again! This forum is really great.
