New to Cathe and need help selecting first tape

LGB

Cathlete
I just found out about Cathe and am interested in her videos, but I'm kind of overwhelmed by the selection.

I have done the Firm tapes for at least 10 yrs and really enjoy them, but am willing to try something new. Most probably, I'd like to start out with a lower body and abs tape since that's where I need the most help. But I also understand that her cardio tapes are excellent.

Can anyone recommend a good starting tape that will incorporate cardio, lower body and abs? Or is there another tape that you'd recommend? Thanks

BodyMax

BodyMax fits the bill, plus it has upper body strength work. It's a killer 90 minute workout which can easily be split. The tape starts with cardio work on the bench (it's pretty basic for Cathe). The next section is a lower body circuit. Then straight forward upper body work & abs. You will sleep well after doing this tape!

RE: BodyMax

Although Power Strength Legs & Abs isnt jump up and down cardio per se, it does get your heart pumping and it's an excellent leg and ab workout. Leaner Legs & Abs, part of Cathe's Cross Train Xpress series is also excellent. I'd agree with the already posted comments on BodyMax as well...tough tape, I still cant do it all the way thru!

Enjoy,

Stacy

RE: BodyMax

I agree with Debra and Stacy, LGB.....BodyMax was my 1st thought, too....it's got the cardio, LB work & abs you're looking for, plus the UB work too. Strong Legs & ABs is a great LB strength tape, and Leaner Legs is also a great endurance/high rep LB workout with a great ab workout at the end. There is another tape that is part of the Cross Train Express series, "Power Circuit", which starts out with alternating short cardio segments with short LB strength segments, It's a great combination of LB work with cardio. This is followed by a complete back strength workout, and then plank-work for the abs/core strength. You can check out the descriptions of all these workouts by going to Cathe's home page. Hope this helps,
Debbie

RE: BodyMax

Debra, Debbie and Stacy,

Thanks for your suggestions. I'll probably get them all since I have no self-control. Your suggestions all sound just like what I need. Thanks!

Trust me...

...it won't matter what you pick first. You'll get so addicted that you'll end up buying them all. I was like you, a Firm fan for 10 years or so. I heard about Cathe and bought the PS Series, then MIS/MIC, then Bodymax and Powermax, then Interval Max and all 8 of her new tapes.

I love them all, however I agree with the rest of the group...Bodymax is a great buy. Intense, fun and effective.

RE: Trust me...

Okay, seems like I'll be needing a second mortgage on my home. I'm making a list of all these recommendations to make sure I don't leave anything out. Thanks. Laurie
