Good Monday Morning Ladies!
I had a hair appointment Saturday so I am actually wearing it down today instead of in a ponytail. I'm feeling very girly.
We had a really busy weekend - David had lots of table tennis stuff, Paul had some scouting stuff and Honor had lots of cello including a recital. Tomorrow Honor and David turn 13 - YIKES! Thursday Pete has a birthday - don't tell him I told you...he's going to be 47.
The 5K was great. Beautiful whether and the course was along a river in a park setting. Really nice. David ran it in less than 24 minutes. I was at 31:02. I wanted to get closer to 30 but my asthma kicked in in the final mile and I had to walk to stop wheezing - bummed me out, but it was still a lot of fun. Pete, Honor, and Paul had a great time walking. There were three other women from work who participated - they ran/walked. And others from the 5K program came out to support them. It was nice.
Jane - I don't think the C25K program was as successful as I would have hoped. We had 17 participants but most folks used part of the program and also did their own thing. I recieved a lot of positive feedback on the information they received and the weekly discussions so that was good. I think they all appreciated having all the information and resources available even if they didn't start and finish the program - they can always go back to it. How was your 5K?
Tricia - HI! Sounds like you are having some fun with the drinking
. I have a sewing machine I never use - I would sell it to you if you were closer. It's a Viking. Nice machine. Maybe someday Honor will want to use it. I think I get it out maybe once a year. Sewing is not my thing. I'm 44 and clothes shopping is hard - I agree. My friend really likes Coldwater Creek but I think it's a little old looking. I really like The Loft and Anthropologie (if you can find stuff on sale).
Lisa - Horseriding, Kayaking, Fishing - sounds so nice!
Alisha -
Yes - if I ran 3 miles twice, it is 6 miles - but since I ran 3 in the morning and 3 in the evening, I didn't want to mislead anyone into thinking I ran 6 miles. Did you get a workout done?
So, to catch up on my workouts - Friday was spin and upper body weights and core, Saturday was rest. Sunday was the 5K then last night I ran 3 again.
Today is spin and abs hopefully.
