New puppy....need name suggestions

WERE GETTING A CHIUAUA TODAY !! a guy at DH'es work asked if he wanted a puppy. There ready now so i will pick him up at 4:30 today....THE KIDS HAVE NO IDEA}(}(. I can't wait to see there faces,i haven't aloud any pets in the house so far....

He will be black and white and a cross between a teacup and small chiuaua(and i hope im spelling chiuaua right:+)

Oh, congratulations! I'm not sure you can name him or her until you see them and play with them a little bit. But, you could have some things in mind. I always liked Rex for a dog, but I don't know if it fits a chihuahua. Rexie might, though. Or how about Rocky?

How about something like "Taco"? I love it when the name fits the "ethnicity" of the dog - we have a border collie (Scotland) named Angus. Just a thought! Congrats and enjoy the little one! So tiny, I'd be afraid of breaking him/her!

Oh how cute! You know, I thought of the name Tickles recently & wish I'd named my puggle that, I think it's adorable.

Or Brutus. I think Brutus is the perfect name for a chihuahua. :7
 
My neighbors have a little chihuahua named "Wasabi". I think that is such a cute name and perfect for this dog's personality. I also like Rocky!
 
YAY to a new puppy! Your kids will be over-the-moon excited!

Our first dog (we get great danes) was Annie. We ran around singing the "We got Annie" song from the play/movie.

Now we have Mufasa (from the Lion King)(because he is ENORMOUS and always in the way like we imagine a lion would be). Next summer we're getting another one, a girl this time, and we're going to name her Sarabi, Mufasa's wife.

Have fun with the puppy and good luck with the potty-training and chewing!
 
My favorite male name is Romeo. I was going to name my boy boxer Romeo, but it didn't fit. He was a ruff and tuff boy so we named him Maximus aka...the little general because he tried to run the household at first.

I still like Romeo for the right male. In my experience, males tend to be more affectionate than female dogs.

I forgot to add...Congrats on your new family member! Dogs are so special. Very loyal to their human family:7
 
Bob, Igor (chihuahua's are cute, but funny looking), Rex, Paco del Taco, Scooter, Radar (if his ears are big)

Fitt44,i use to have a cocker spaniel named Romeo...he was 12 when he passed...he was my baby.

i like rocky too and paco del taco,LOL thats cute....

Awwwwwwwww Amelia! That's great! I definitely think it should be a Mexican name, especially since his parents are both Mexican names!

But I thought you had a dog that you walk?
 
Congratulations. The kids will be so surprised. I think your choice of Rico is cute. You may want to see him first before you name him. His personality will come through and give you some ideas, plus the kids might have ideas once they see him. We had a dog for almost 2 weeks before we settled on a name. She was one spicey puppy, so we named her Picante. My DH ate alot of Pace picante sauce with chips at the time so that added to it.

Hey Shelly,i have a black lab that stays outside that i walk,Cassie girl.The kids wanted a animal for the inside for the longest time....i almost got them a guinea pig,but this animal is free}(
