RE: Welcome, GoldenLady!
Cathe's tapes are geared to the advanced exerciser, but they are easily modified and are tapes you can grow with. In her Cardio, some of her steps tapes have some complex choreography so you will probably have to view them a few times to get the moves down. They also maybe a little too intense for a beginner, so when you feel like you are exerting yourself too much, just stop and move on to the cool down and stretch, you can always do more next time.
Her strength training tapes are also verychallenging, and but i suggest you start with Maximum Intensity strength. Cathe does an excellent job on form pointers in all of her tapes, however. Start out with no weight at all and just do the motions (especially when working the lower body), or at least use very little weight at first, just so you can get your form down.
The key is to start very, very, slowly; do maybe 1-2 strength tapes a week, and 2-3 cardio tapes a week. Also make sure you allow your muscles to rest at least one or two days between strength training workouts. Beginners get so many injuries by doing too much. Allow your body to get used to working out. I encourage you to also read the description of each tape on this website and listen to cathe's Introductions to each workout on your DVD's. Make sure you know how each series was designed to be used. For example the Pure strength DVD is actually a split series, each workout meant to be done on a different day. when you become more advanced, you can design your own workouts using DVD features.
Don't get intimidated, maybe do only 15 minutes of her cardio workout and only one body part of one her strength workouts a day, with a day rest in between, if you feel like doing a full workout is to much for you.
Also don't forge to stretch! This is very important. Stretch all your muscles us much as you can when starting out, and never skip the warm-ups and cool-downs. If you have any specific questions for Cathe herself, ask them at the "Ask Cathe" board, where she herself will see them.
Good luck, and please keep us posted on how you are coming along.
