Cathe,
Greetings from Uganda!
I just finished week 2 of STS (yee haw!). And to make it even better, DH is doing it with me.
Interestingly, I'm experiencing a kind of DOMS with STS that I haven't felt before. Usually, at least for me, the "D" of DOMS after I do your workouts is after about 24 hours. However, with STS, what I'm noticing is that 24 hours later, I can tell I worked out, but I'm not feeling very sore. I start thinking, "Wow, I handled that really well." But the "real" DOMS kicks in 48 hours, and I say "Oh my! I did really work out!"
Do you have any explanations or theories about why the "D" of DOMS might be longer in this case? I know the whole point of STS is to shock the system and change things up. But I'm curious about the change in my body's recovery, too.
Any insights?
Thanks so much!
Laura
PS. BTW, DH is totally impressed with STS, too.
