New Infomercials

Hi All,

I seen a couple new infomercials this weekend. I seen one with Brenda Dygraf called the lateral thigh trainer and another body by jake one for the abs. Cannot remember what the name was.

The thigh one looked interesting because it is a combo of a stairmaster and lateral thigh.

Anyone else see this.

I've seen Brenda Dygraf (used to be Dykgraf, interesting, hunh?) hawking her lateral thigh trainer on HSN.

brenda is no longer with HSN. i wonder what happened to their relationship. i had got sucked in and bought her power glide plus which is a totalgym knockoff...what a hunk of junk!!

I thought the name was spelled differently. What did you think of the Thigh trainer? I won't buy it but it did look interesting. wonder if it does really work as they say.

When I saw it on HSN, I was thinking that the ROM was rather limited, and it seemed that when Brenda tried to get a bigger ROM, she'd hit the pedal on the base, which would be jarring if done repetitively. I don't remember if the movement was directly side-to-side (which would be more effective for adductors and abductors) or more out and back (which would hit the glutes a bit more).

One infomercial gadget that's tempting me is the the treadclimber. It's kind of like a cross between a stepper and a treadmill, and you do both actions at once. You can also lock it in place to make it into a treadmill. Fitness magazine gave it a thumbs up as an effective machine (but it's pricey! a little over $2000 for the top model, which includes a mat!).

The treadclimber does look nice. I actually ordered the video for home but haven't looked at it yet. I believe it would be what the infomercial is. Unfortunately I don't have the $$ now to get one. I would like to try it out though.

wonder how you get to be a "test" person for some of these gadgets?\

I've seen it, but don't have it. I just have to laugh when they go to a sculpting class and it only takes 10 minutes to do what the hour class does.
