the High Step with the risers... The Firm 2 Box has 6" and 8" sections... can this be used with the High Step workouts without any issues.

Thank you,
Kristen

Hi Kristen,
I don't have the Firm box you are talking about but I don't see why you couldn't use it. The only trouble you may run into is wanting a higher step than 8 in. for some of the step ups and maybe a few other exercises. Also, make sure it is sturdy enough for the cardio sections of the HS workouts. I recently bought the Transfirmer and the isntructions said not to perform high impact moves on it so I don't know if the same stipulations would apply to what you currently own.

I use my Fanny Lifter as a computer table. While it works well for that, I wouldn't recommend using it instead of the High Step. It's definitely not as sturdy for working out as the high step. The FL is lighter, and can easily scoot away from under you if you happen to hit it (something that could easily happen with some of the fast toe tap moves that are in the High Step workouts). It's also not made for impact (and somewhere on it, say do not leap or jump on).

Before I got the high step topper, I started using my regular step turned vertically (and bought extra risers to make it go to 12").

I highly recommend the High Step topper over the Fanny Lifter.

I've always used my fanny lifter for a high step. I work out on carpet so I haven't had any issues with the step moving anywhere.

RE: New here.. Question about using Firm 2 Box versus ....

Hi Kristen,
I am 5'9" and really found the high step with risers a great purchase and better for me than the Firm step. But I am thinking if your not as tall or legs can be at the correct angle when you step up, the high step isn't a necessary purchase.

For me, I need the 16" step to get my legs in the right position so I can feel the exercise in my glutes and hamstrings.

HTH,
Barb:) :)

I've been using my firm box with Cathe videos now for over a year and have never had a problem. I have been thinking about getting the step that Cathe uses but right now would rather use that money to buy more dvds instead of the step.

I echo Cindy - I have the Firm 2-piece step (as well as the original Firm steps - 10 and 14") and use them for Cathe with absolutely no problem.
