New daily challenge

I just saw a commercial for a local bank that made me think of a daily challenge I'd like to start.

Everyday, do something nice for someone else without any reason except to do something nice.

I'd like to hear what you do. I haven't done anything particularly nice yet today, so I guess I'll have to do something nice for my husband. Hmmm...maybe I'll use the back massager on him. I hate doing that, but he likes it.

Donna -

This is an awesome idea. I'll have to think of something tonight. Of course, I'm ALWAYS nice to my kids!! :p

Angie

P.S. Does NOT flipping somebody off that cuts me off in traffic count as doing something nice? lol!!:p

I first read this and thought what a great idea and that it would be simple for me to come up with something. I think I'm pretty nice, but here I am racking my brain to come up with somethingx( I think I'm making it too complicated.

I'll think of something;-)

great idea Donna

Good idea Donna! Today i let someone go in front of me to get in line at a red light, i held the door for two old ladies who were holding on to each other to keep from falling down:-( and i didn't brush off the man at the gas station who insisted on discussing the weather while waitng in linex(

so, i'm caught up for 3 days!!!

jes:p

Dang, jes, I think there's already a spot in heaven for ya! I hold the door open all the time for people at work and probably 50% of the time I'll get a *thank you*. >sigh<

Today I volunteered to help my friend give a baby shower for her daughter. I think that's good for a least a week's worth of good deeds! Add another week for me making a baby quilt as a gift. I've only met the daughter once (she was already out and on her own when I became friends with her mother).

WOW! TK! that is quite an undertaking i love quilts and i have been saving different fabrics (well i started once i was old enough) since i was born. my mom saved pieces of her fav maternity shirt, what i was brought home from hospital in , stuff like that from my whole life. problem is i don't know how to quilt! Very cool that you are doing one for someone you hardly know. she better appreciate it!

Well Jes, maybe you have your challenge! LOL. Wouldn't that be a really thoughtful gift for your mother - a quilt made of pieces fabric related to when you were born. What better reason to learn to sew/quilt? Something like that would certainly make your mother cry and she'd cherish it forever. I've always considered crying as the best compliment for my work.

I took quilting lessons. I now love to applique. I saved all of my son's baby clothes so I can make them into a quilt.

About the good deed thing--I will try it. Although, I am the nicest person I know--just kidding!! :) :)

Well my DH has not been very nice. Ever since April began, everyday so far he has played a April Fools joke on me. One time in the middle of the night when I was sound asleep...said a train was coming. x( LOL! My son told me to do the same thing to him, but with a flash light in his face...think he would have a heart attack for sure! LOL!!!

Good idea though!
