I know there are some posts from several weeks ago on these new dvds
but I was just wondering for those of you that have this workout and have been doing it for a while how do you like it buy now? Do you use the other 3 workouts besides the advanced one? I understand there isn't much kicking and punching in these workouts from posts I have read on the weight watcher boards but a lot of military drills. I bet the bands really make a difference. Where would you suggest I buy these workouts? I was thinking of collage video. Any and all opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday

Deb:) :)

I bought into all the hype on the VF web site and caved for the Deluxe Infomerical set. Big regrets on my part now. I thought the workouts would be more like his "Get Ripped" series or his "Live" series. I was expecting the "pre-Goodtimes" Billy to be back. He is not.

I found these workouts dull and easy. The bands are annoying.

Also, after doing Cathe's kickboxing stuff for the past year, I had no tolerance for all his marching in place.

But, this is only my little opinion. You may want to check the VideoFitness web site for more reviews.

:)

Thank you Renne for your honest opinion. I love all of Cathe's kickboxing videos. Maybe I will pass on the bootcamp.I thought it might be an intense workout that I couldn't pass up. I love his get ripped advanced and a few of his live tapes.

I hope you have a great day and thanks again

Deb:) :)

Hi Deb,

I have the Bootcamp set also. It's okay if you enjoy kickboxing and want to do something less intense than Cathe on certain days, but overall, like Renee mentioned, it's not Billy Blanks best. The bands don;t bother me. Sometimes I use them, sometimes I don't. If you'd like, I can send you one of the DVDs to test drive for a week or so. That might sound weird since I hardly know you, but I tend to trust everyone on these boards lol!

Hi Sharon.... I really like the Bootcamp ABS dvd..... I also like the rest of the dvd's.... it doesn't have to be a hard workout to work... Rhonda

When I bought the bootcamp deluxe I was expecting more cardio and less toning exercises. They are great workouts but I don't love them. I love the live basic workouts I have now. They are marvellous. I can't understand why Billy dosen't put the basic and the advanced live series in DVD format.

These are okay. I'm glad I bought them because it solved my problem of not knowing how to work out when I'm traveling. I take my portable DVD player and these DVD's w/ resistance bands and I'm all set. They aren't as good as a Cathe weight workout, but they are a lot better than nothing. They are also good for when you just don't feel like lifting weights. I wouldn't consider them any type of cardio though - not even the one labeled as cardio. In my opinion, after the Get Ripped series - Billy Blanks forgot what cardio is.
